Currently Loving: Soap & Glory AB FAB Skin Toning Serum / target those problem areas!

So I’ve started a new series called ‘Currently Loving’ as I stopped doing monthly favourites, I do this about once a week and talk about what product I’m currently enjoying. In my previous one I talked about the Makeup Forever Mattifying Primer, you can read about it here.

So today I want to share with you a new Body Moisturiser/Serum from Soap & Glory – AB FAB is a skin toning tummy serum, that you could actually use on any areas that you want to firm/tone such as the tummy, bottom and thighs. This cream contains skin-smoothing complex Zingiber, caffeine, avocado, olive and rosehip conditioning oils.

I like to use it once or twice a day and apply it to those areas in a circular motion, giving myself a little bit of a massage, which really helps with circulation. I’ve been using this serum for a little while now and I have noticed my skin looking a lot smoother and firmer in those areas, so it definitely works. I would also suggest to try and exercise daily, you don’t have to join the gym, just do a few bits at home – some squats, sit ups and maybe jogging. That will really help with the uneven skin on those problem areas. Dry body brushing also helps and I like to do this before I apply the serum.

The AB FAB toning serum smells very nice, quite natural but I like that. I look forward to using it everyday and I know I need to repurchase as I don’t want to run out:-) You can get it from Soap & Glory or Boots for £12.00 (150ml)

I hope you are having a great weekend! Victoria xo

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skincare line / new editions

Happy Saturday loves!

Today I have for you a couple of new skincare products from the Body Shop that I have been testing out for the past few weeks and really enjoying. I still get problematic skin and suffer with occasional blemishes and breakouts and I’m in my late twenties, I think this is very common especially for us women as we stress a lot which can cause breakouts and then there’s the hormonal spots that we get around that time of the month (frustrating I know!) So when the Body Shop extended their already existing Tea Tree range, I was very exited to try the products and see if they work.

Starting off with the Tea Tree 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub and Mask* it’s such a good multitasking product and I love using this one, I would probably say it’s my favourite from the whole range. Even my hubby uses it and loves it! If you like the smell of tea tree you will love this product, it’s really natural and does what it says on the tube. I would normally apply a generous amount and leave it on for about 10 mins, then wet my hands and massage it into my skin in circular motion to exfoliate a little before rinsing off. It leaves my face so clean and soft, it helps combat blemishes and also gets rid of excess oil and mattifies the skin. It has clay which draws out impurities, blackheads and helps clear/tighten your pores. You get quite a generous tube – 125ml for £8.00

Another new edition to the Tea Tree range is the Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution* which is basically a day serum that is infused with pure tea tree oil, it’s fast absorbing and non-greasy and sinks into my skin pretty quickly. I was worried that it’s gonna make me oily/shiny but it didn’t, just kept my skin hydrated and balanced. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I’ve noticed my skin is a lot clearer and I seem to get less breakouts, my pores appear less blocked and my skin feels really smooth. I still get very shiny on my t-zone but I always do in the summer anyway. I will continue to use this serum and will update you in another couple of weeks wether it helps combat the shine or not. You can use this product twice a day, morning and evening and I’d normally apply 2-3 drops all over my face and then follow up with my moisturiser. It retails for £12.00 for 50ml

Lastly I have a little Tea Tree Oil* which is not a new product I don’t think. I just love the smell of it and I like to use it for a few different things. I get eczema on my legs occasionally so I like to put a few drops before I have a soak in the bath, which helps me soothe the irritation, you can also dab a little on spots and blemishes. This oil is pure, natural and paraben free and comes from Mount Kenya it’s very potent and you only need a tiny bit, so 10ml ( £8.00 ) actually lasts pretty well.

You can check out the whole range here

Have you tried Tea Tree oil or any of the Body Shop’s Tea Tree range? I’d love to know your thoughts, so please share in the comments below.

Have a great day! Victoria xo

OPI Nail Polish in Big Apple (full size) – I was so excited to see one of my favourite nail polish brands inside this month’s box. OPI Big Apple is an absolutely stunning red colour, it’s a classic shade that everyone should have in their collection. It’s opaque, goes on really smooth and lasts for days without chipping.

Pixi Beauty Sleep Cream (full size) – As soon as I saw their signature green packaging, I knew it was Pixi! I have heard so much about Pixi’s products but I really have not tried much from the brand. This night cream is a rich nourishing treatment featuring a blend of natural mango butter, lavender, lemon, and bergamot oils. It feels so lovely on the skin and smells amazing!

Pixi Lengthy Fiber Mascara (full size) – Another product I received from Pixi is their fiber mascara, I must admit I’m not a fan of fiber mascaras as they can be quite messy but this one is actually quite good, I only tried it once but it did give me length and volume and made my lashes pretty fluttery:-)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA        Caudalie Glycolic Peel (deluxe sample) – This is a lovely mask that contains Glycolic Acid which works really well for smoothing out the skin and clearing and brightening the complexion. Just leave it on for 10 mins and rinse off. My face always looks fresh and radiant after using it.

Caudalie Moisturising Sorbet (deluxe sample) – I really like this light face moisturiser. I enjoy using it as the hydrating, gel-like formula is light and non-greasy which is ideal for the Summer. It smells so so good!

Yes to Carrots Nourishing Gentle Cleansing Wipes – it’s festival/holiday season, so face wipes become a beauty essential. They’re affordable, convenient, and have multi-uses when you’re away from home. I love the Yes to Carrots range, they are 96% natural, and have good ingredients to help cleanse, smooth and remove makeup. They are also free from parabens and SLS.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks / review

I’m very excited to share these fabulous new clay masks from L’Oreal Paris in today’s post. I’ve been absolutely obsessed with them and I have to tell you they work so well! There are three different ones available – Purity, Detox and Glow. Each one has an active ingredient which makes it unique, and perfect for different skin issues. You can use them on their own or multi mask.

All three masks have a blend of 3 pure clays as their base as well as another key ingredient.

  • Koalin: A highly effective natural clay that absorbs impurities and excess sebum
  • Montmorillonite: This clay is rich in minerals and helps illuminate imperfections.
  • Ghassoul: A pure clay highly concentrated in minerals renowned to help clarify complexions.

Starting with the Purity Mask, which is the light green mask and it’s designed to deeply purify and mattify your skin. It contains Eucalyptus and smells really lovely, I’ve used it a couple of times now and I’ve noticed it really helps with blackheads and shine, it’s great at drawing out dirt and excess oil and makes my skin soft and smooth. So if you suffer with blocked pores and oily skin this is the one I’d reccomend.

The Detox Mask is similar in a way, it’s the black one, and it contains Charcoal. It’s great at removing dirt and impurities and it’s also quite good if you suffer with blackheads or acne as it really does clear the skin and leaves it looking healthy and fresh.

Last but not least I have the Glow Mask which is red in colour as it contains Red Algae as key ingredient. This mask is great for exfoliating, which helps with clogged pores and any little bumps on the skin, I’ve noticed it also helps with enlarged pores and my skin was left very smooth after using it.

Overall, I love all the masks, they are all similar in a way and work very well for my skin, I love multi masking and using them on different areas of my face. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for something new to try, they are fantastic and really affordable too at £7.99 each. Currently on offer for £5.00 at Boots.

Have you tried them? Which one will you be picking up?

Have a lovely day! Victoria xo

Lancome Grandiôse Liner / review & swatches #BendTheLine

Happy Monday lovelies, I hope you had a fab weekend!

Today I have for you the new Lancôme Grandiôse Liner* which is very quickly becoming a favourite of mine! It’s available in three different shades (black, brown and blue) I have 01 Noir Mirifique which is the black one. It is a liquid eyeliner which comes in this beautiful packaging and the amazing thing about it is that you can adjust its wand for easier application.

I’ve always struggled to apply my eyeliner to the point where I would decide not to wear any as it would take me ages to get it looking even and right. This liner makes it so easy to create the perfect wing. It has a very thin tip, which is great for achieving a very precise line and then slowly building up the thickness. I’d start by using it straight to apply it on my upper lash line, and then bend the wand to create the wing, it’s just so easy and quick!

I’ve always struggled getting my liner to look the same on both eyes but with Lancome Grandiôse it’s so easy. Another thing I like about this eyeliner is how black and intense it is, it does not fade or smudge and once it sets it lasts all day. It glides on easily and at first it looks quite glossy but then it sets to a nice matte finish.

Lancome Grandiose Eyeliner

I would highly recommend this eyeliner it’s a fab product and pretty fool proof too:-) It retails for £23.00 and you can get it here

Have a wonderful day! Victoria xo

New Sleek Makeup Power Plump Lip Crayons / review + swatches

Happy Saturday beauties!

I’m very exited to share with you a new launch from Sleek Makeup – the Power Plump Lip Crayons. I really like lip crayons as they are very easy to apply on the go and you don’t really need to use a lip liner with them. These ones are great quality and pretty affordable too. They come in a good selection of shades (6 shades available) super pigmented and easy to apply, really nourishing and comfortable on the lips without being drying.

They glide on really easily and deliver a lovely pop of colour, I’d describe the finish as satin. They are lip plumping so obviously they will make your lips tingle a little so if you don’t like that you may not like these. I don’t actually mind it too much as it does work and my lips do appear slightly fuller and plumper:-)

They feel soft and silky on the lips and, very moisturising as well. I like the selection of shades , they are all pretty wearable, my favourite has to be Colossal Coral, which is a lovely soft coral/peach great for everyday wear and perfect for summer.

The Sleek Power Plump Lip Crayons retail for £5.50 each and you can get them from Sleek Makeup here (worldwide delivery available) also at Boots and Superdrug (currently on 3 for 2 offer)

Will you be trying these? Which one’s your favourite colour?

Happy Saturday! Victoria xo

New Urban Decay VICE Lipsticks / Review & Swatches

Last month Urban Decay released a very impressive array of 100 shades with six different finishes, called the VICE Lipsticks*! How amazing is that! The new formula has aloe vera, jojoba, avocado, babassu oil, and Illipe butter to prevent against dryness, add moisture, nourish and soften your lips. Now let’s take a look at the finishes available to choose from

Mega Matte — super intense matte
Comfort Matte — their creamiest matte
Cream — the original creamy luxury formula
Metallized — cream with a high level of pearl pigments
Sheer — a punch of color, with a sheer, shiny finish
Sheer Shimmer — slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and a smooth texture

I have 5 lipsticks from Wende’s Top 10 Picks (the brand’s co-founder) I love the selection of bold brights and neutrals, and all the different finishes. I like the Comfort Mattes and Creams the best, the Metallized formula is very different and pretty cool too. As far as my personal favourite shade out of the five, it will have to be Backtalk, which is a Comfort Matte formula and looks really beautiful on the lips, kind of semi-matte finish it feels comfortable and non-drying and the shade is perfect for everyday wear. I get the longest wear out of the mega mattes and comfort mattes, I would say about 4-5 hours before they start to fade a little, but they still leave a stain on your lips, which I like:-)

And lastly the packaging – Vice Lipsticks come in a modernized, luxury version of the original lipsticks. A beautiful gunmetal case with a gold base and debossed lettering. The labels are also shade-matched, which makes it easy to find the colour you are looking for.

I just can’t believe Urban Decay brought out 100 new lipsticks, it’s absolutely insane and amazing at the same time! With so much variety there’s definitely something for everyone. I believe they have also expanded the shade range with 50 new 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils, which I haven’t actually tried yet but have put on my wish list:-)

These are available to purchase on for £15.00 each, which is a pretty good price I think and I definitely want to pick up at least a couple more.

I’d love to know your thoughts on these, would you be picking up any? What’s your favourite shade?

Have a great day!  Victoria xo
