I hope you are well, and enjoying the nice weather. I’m sitting in the garden with a nice cup of tea as I’m writing this 🙂
So a few of you have asked me to compare the new L’Oreal Micellar Solution with the Bioderma Sensibio H2O so here are my thoughts.
I have been using Bioderma for nearly a year now. It’s a very popular french skincare product and it’s mainly used for removing makeup and toning your skin. It’s widely available in France but not in the UK, so the only way to get it would be to order it from Amazon and Ebay.
Recently it was available to purchase in the Birchbox online shop for a limited time only (about two months) and I managed to get my hands on a bottle before it sold out. It retails for £9.99 for 250ml and about £17 for 500ml. It’s not cheap and you have to pay for postage on top of that.
It is a really great product though, I have tried the one for oily skin (green one) as well as the one for sensitive skin and really like them both. It removes all makeup, including waterproof mascara and leaves your skin nice and fresh, you can use it as a toner as well. You just pour some on a cotton pad and gently wipe off your makeup. It’s great for my sensitive skin and doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. The packaging is simple but nice and classy.
So now onto the L’Oreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution. It came out only a few months ago so it’s a new product from the L’Oreal Skin Perfection Line. It retails for £4.99 for 200ml so it is a bit cheaper then the Bioderma. It claims to remove makeup, unclog pores, tone and soothe the skin, and it does all that, apart from unclogging my pores.
It’s very gentle and doesn’t irritate my skin and is perfect for removing makeup. It struggles a bit when it comes to removing waterproof mascara but I wear that very rarely, so it’s not a problem for me. The packaging is not great, it’s a bit bulky and when the product comes out, it’s very messy and goes everywhere. But that’s just being picky 🙂 All in all it’s a great product and a cheaper alternative to the Bioderma.
I like both of the product, I prefer Bioderma, but when I can’t get my hands on it, I’m happy to use L’Oreal as it’s available in all drugstores and also very affordable.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this review and comparison Guys, please let me know if you’ve used any of these and your thought on them.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
