The Battle of the Cleansing Oils! New L’Oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing Oil VS MAC Cleanse Off Oil!

Hey Guys,

Happy Tuesday, I hope you are having a great week.

Today’s post is going to be a comparison between two really good Cleansing Oils, by L’Oreal and Mac. The L’Oreal one is new and only came out last week, so I really wanted to try it and see if it’s gonna be a cheeper alternative to my MAC Cleanse Off oil that everyone raves about.:-)

I’ve been using the Mac oil for a while and I do really like it, it’s great for removing makeup and even waterproof mascara. I apply it on dry skin, massage it in, add a little water to emulsify it and then rinse off. It cleanses my skin quite well and doesn’t leave an oily residue. It’s a very good makeup remover but quite pricey as it retails for £19 for 150ml. I’m not gonna bore you will all the ingredients but I will say that it’s Mineral-Oil free, which is a good thing.

The L’Oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Oil is a new product which came out about a week ago. It is very good, it does the same as the MAC one, only thing is, it does struggle a little bit with removing waterproof mascara, so I would suggest soaking a cotton round and placing it on your eyelid for a few seconds before trying to wipe off your mascara, as you don’t want to rub your delicate eye area. It also contains Mineral-Oil, which is not very good but it’s not too much of a problem for me. It retails for £7.99 for 150ml but at the moment it’s on offer at Boots for £5.33 link.

So I would recommend both products, they are both very good and very comparable. Just depends on your budget, which one you would go for.

Have you tried these, or any other cleanse off oils? Please share in the comments below 🙂

Nuxe Bio cleansing oil is lovely but I’m currently using Sanctuary spa facial oil as a pre-cleanse. Skin’s never looked so healthy

I haven’t tried either product, but I always use Olive Oil or Grapeseed Oil to remove makeup. These also require extra effort to remove mascara but it comes off. Considering that the L’Oreal product contains mineral oil (a petrochemical filler), maybe consider buying pure oil from the grocery or health food store (after you use these up of course!). Both oils are cheaper by volume than the MAC (19 pounds = $31!! vs. .473 ml for 6 pounds for Grapeseed Oil).
