My Festival Beauty Essentials! Glastonbury Festival 2014!

 Hey Guys,

I hope you are having a good week, it’s nearly the weekend woop, woop!

Festival season is well under way and next week Glastonbury will kick off! Sadly I won’t be able to go this year as it clashes with Imats, as well as I can’t really be off work 🙁 Such a shame because I really enjoyed it last year.

I’m not the best at travelling light when it comes to beauty products – I can’t do hand luggage on a plane journey as sticking to the 100ml limit is not my strong point, lol! However, when it comes to festivals, it really is best to travel light and pack your beauty bag well. Yes, we want to look good, but sitting on the floor of a tent doing your make-up with a hand mirror is really not easy.

With this in mind I thought I’d cover my pick of ten festival beauty must-haves, the essentials for looking good with minimal fuss and light luggage.edited with border

1.Be Sun Safe!

It’s very easy to get burned when you’re out in the sun all day and let’s face it, more interested in watching bands the slathering up. But having a high-factor sunscreen is an absolute must if you want to enjoy yourself. I love the Dermalogica SPF 50 Sport.

2.Instant Skin Glow!

Fake eight hours of sleep by using a BB Cream to make your skin glow. BB creams are a moisturiser and make-up combo which give a lighter, more natural coverage that instantly illuminates skin. I recommend the L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream.

3.Smell Fresh!

A good deodorant is very helpful, as you will be spending a lot of time in the sun and in crowds. A travel size deodorant is ideal, as it’s easy and doesn’t take up too much room. The new Sure compressed cans are perfect for this.

4.Looking Cool!

You shouldn’t forget a nice pair of sunnies with a good UV protection as well as a funky sun hat. Festival must-haves!

5.Hippie Braids!

Braids are back, and they are the perfect way to get your hair festival ready. A really easy way to make your hairstyle cute is to add a floral head piece/band. I got mine from Asos

6.Hair Revival!

If there’s one thing that needs to be packed in your backpack, it’s a can of Batiste Dry Shampoo, it’s a life saver, trust me. Wake up, spritz hair, go and party!

7.Lips & Cheeks!

A lip and cheek stain is a must have in my opinion and Benefit’s Cha Cha Tint is the perfect choice! Use the little brush to apply onto your lips and cheeks, blend in and you are good to go. It will last all day and night 😉

8.Nail it!

Don’t forget to paint your finger and toe nails in a bright summery colour. I’ve chosen Essie’s ‘Serial Shopper’ from the new Neon Collection.

9.Hangover Cure!

If you’re feeling like you’ve overdone it a little, reach for some water and painkillers to help with your headache 🙂 I like the Nurofen Liquid Capsules as they work pretty fast.

10.Cleanse & Go!

You probably won’t be able to shower for a few days so keep yourself clean and fresh by having wipes on standby. Get some baby wipes, make-up remover wipes and…feminine hygiene wipes. They are life savers!

So I hope you have found this helpful guys. I also always fake tan with my fave St.Tropez Bronzing Mousse the day before I go, it gives me a beautiful tan and lasts for about a week, which is perfect!
