New Charles Worthington Colour Enhancer Range for Brunettes / Review

Happy Wednesday Beauties! Today I have a hair post for you all 🙂

My natural hair colour is quite ashy and to be honest I’ve never been too keen on it. I like to have it coloured a rich, chestnut brown shade but it tends to fade pretty quickly, so I always look for a Shampoo and Conditioner specially formulated for colour treated hair or something that gives me shine and enhances my colour. I was very exited to try the new Charles Worthington Colour Enhancer Brunette Shampoo* and Conditioner* as they are enriched with Henna and Caramel Extracts which help to boost your colour and prevent it from fading.

I’ve been using the Shampoo and Conditioner and really loving them. They smell lovely and make my hair soft and shiny with very natural, glossy brunette tones. (RRP 5.99)

I’ve also been using a brand new product-the Colour Revive Tinted Colour Mousse*. I have the shade ‘Dark Brown’ it’s such an interesting product-its temporary tinted leave-in foam formula enriches hair’s tones and gives shine which lasts a couple of washes and really refreshes my colour. It gives that salon result at home at a fraction of the price. There are a few shades available for blonde, light brown and dark brown hair, even a clear gloss. (RRP £9.99)

I would start off by massaging the Shampoo into wet hair, lather and rinse, then apply Conditioner to mid lengths and ends and leave it on for about 10 mins. Once it’s all rinsed I towel dry my hair and split it into a few sections ready to apply the Colour Mousse. You only need a few pumps and then brush it through wth a wet brush/tangle teezer to evenly distribute the product. This could get a little messy, especially if you use one of the darker colours, so just put an old towel over your shoulders 🙂 No rinsing is required just blow dry and style as usual. My hair always looks really shiny and fresh after using the Colour Mousse, it also saves me money and I don’t have to visit the salon as often as I normally would!

The Charles Worthington products are also Paraben free and not tested on animals which is amazing. They are available to purchase from Boots.

Do you think using the shampoo only would darken hair?

I don’t think it would darken it, just make it glossy and a bit more shiny if you use it on Brunette hair, I believe they have a few different colours available x

Is it meant for coloured hair only?
