Dermalogica Charcoal Mask to the Rescue!

It’s the weekend which means…it’s time to relax and have a little pamper, so I’m going to make a cup of coffee and put my favourite face mask on πŸ™‚ I’ve recently been enjoying a new one from DermalogicaΒ – The Charcoal Rescue Mask*. I have a lot of clay/mud masks but this one is something else, it clears my pores so well and leaves my skin really clean and soft. It detoxifies and brightens, it also contains some lovely natural ingredients (including Volcanic Ash, Sea Silt, Bamboo Extract and Chilean Wild Mint to help refine pores) I always trust Dermalogica when it comes to skincare as they really know their stuff – one of my absolute favourite skincare brands!

So I’d start off by washing my face and patting it dry before applying a generous layer of charcoal rescue mask all over my face avoiding my eye area. I normally leave it on for a least 15 mins until it dries and you can see the pores and impurities the mask has drawn out of my skin. To remove I start off by wetting my hands and massaging it in which helps to gently exfoliate the skin and then using warm water and a flannel to take it off, it’s actually quite easy to wash off you don’t have to scrub too much like with other masks. After removing it I like to follow up with my moisturiser and eye cream and honestly it makes such a difference! I have been using it about a couple of times a week and it hasn’t made my skin dry or sensitive at all, I’d use it everyday if I could although that wouldn’t be recommended πŸ™‚

So yes a new favourite mask and I highly recommend it, if like me you are suffering with breakouts, blocked pores, congested or dull skin.

I hope you have a fab weekend xo
