Happy Friday loves, I hope you are having a fab day!
Today I have for you the Essie Spring 2016 Collection* which is absolutely gorgeous and features six new shades that are inspired by the hot and sunny colours of Palm Beach, Florida.
Essie is one of my favourite nail polish brands, I’ve never really been disappointed with any of their products. All six colors here have a lovely creme finish and cover very nicely in two coats. They are also great quality and last on my nails over a week with minimum to no chipping. I love the cute white topped bottles, the quality and size of their brushes and I have been building a collection of them for quite some time now 🙂
The Essie Spring 2016 Collection includes six shades:
- High Class Affair
- Lounge Lover
- Sunshine State of Mind
- Shades On
- Pool Side Service
- Off Tropic
It should come as no surprise that Essie ‘Lounge Lover’ is my personal favourite. This is perfectly described as ‘Pretty Pink Peach’. It is a very me, I absolutely love peachy-pink nails all year round especially for spring a summer.
‘High Class Affair’ is a beautiful nude shade, it’s very creamy and pretty opaque, nude nails are so classy and elegant and would always be trendy.
‘Sunshine State of Mind’ is described as ‘blazing coral tangelo’. It has a gorgeous coral undertone, it’s so bright and vibrant and I absolutely love it for Summer!
‘Shades On’ is a medium toned purple. It looks very flattering on, I don’t tend to wear purple that much to be honest but I quite like this one. It’s also pretty opaque with just one coat.
‘Pool Side Service’ is described as a ‘refreshing cerulean blue’. I actually had to look up ‘cerulean’ a term used to describe certain hues ranging from blue to cyan. This is a really pretty, trendy twist on a dustier medium toned blue-teal It’s a gorgeous shade and I think it will look really nice on my toes 🙂
‘Off Tropic’ is desribed as a ‘lush grove green’ t’s a nice colour but not something I’d gravitate toward this time of year, perhaps more in Autumn/Winter. Apart from that it is a lovely colour and very glossy too!
I’ve also been using Essie’s ‘Good to Go’ top coat* which is fast drying and gives a lovely glossy shine.
I’m super curious to hear your thoughts on this collection! What do you think of the shades and which ones are your favourites?
You can find this collection now in stores and on the Essie website and they retail for £7.99 each.
Have a lovely weekend! xo
