Facial mists have exploded in popularity over the past few years in the beauty market but not everyone really knows wether they need to use them or not and what exactly do they do for our skin, so in todays post I’d like to tell you a little bit more about these ‘Beauty Sprays’ and specifically talk about a new favourite of mine.
I have tried many different brands, and they’ve all been ok but I’ve never really found a favourite, one that makes all the difference, until quite recently. Another thing is that facial mists are not cheap, some people would say they’re not really essential, but they are a lovely edition to your skincare and once you start using one, you would’t want to go back.
A few weeks ago I was very kindly invited to a skincare launch event, showcasing Emma Hardie’s new product launches, including the Plump & Glow Hydrating Facial Mist*. I’m sure you’ve all heard about Emma Hardie’s luxury skincare products, she’s quite famous with the Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm, which is a cult favourite of many beauty editors and celebrities.
So if course I was very keen to try her brand new facial mist and test it out in order to review it for you guys. This little bottle of goodness has now become an essential in my skincare routine and I have been using religiously. Emma describes it as ‘An energising, hydrating and radiance facial treatment that smooths away fine lines, tightens pores and gives the complexion an instant boost’ It’s packed full of amazing ingredients including Aloe Vera, Wild Watermelon and Hyaluronic Acid that all help rejuvenate the skin and balance out any redness or irritation, which makes it perfect for people with sensitive skin. The scent is really lovely – herbal and very natural, it is very calming and refreshing on the skin. It retails for £35 for 90ml here
I also wanted to share a few of my tips for using your facial mist:
– Keep it cool and refreshing, by keeping it in the fridge.
– Great for travelling to keep your skin looking fresh.
– You can use it instead of a toner morning and night.
– Use it to set your makeup and to refresh throughout the day.
Another thing I love about this product is the soft/portable tube, it’s a great size, which will last you for ages. I like to use it in the morning to prep my skin for makeup and also to set my makeup, it gives such a nice finish and sets everything in place. The actual spray is quite unique, it gives a wide-reach delivery, which mists your whole face in one go, it’s also very fine mist as opposed to other sprays I’ve used in the past that just drench you and ruin your makeup.
Do you use a facial mist? What is your favourite?
Have a wonderful weekend, Victoria xo
