New Urban Decay Moondust Palette / review & swatches

Today I have for you another recent launch from Urban Decay – the new Moondust Palette* This little gem really is out of this world, it’s so beautiful and sparkly it’s just stunning! Even the outer packaging/box looks fabulous, so iridescent and pretty, the palette itself comes in a sparkly gunmetal case, it features a mirrored cutout ‘Moondust’ logo and a very good size mirror. There’s been so much hype about this palette and I can see why, it’s absolutely gorgeous. It comes with eight all-new shades, which contain microfine bits of iridescent sparkle, they are so beautiful and very highly pigmented I’m literally so exited to share it with you.

If you are addicted to glitter like me, then you’ll love this palette. All the shades are really vibrant and unique, very highly pigmented and long lasting. The shadows are very smooth and easy to blend and give such a fabulous effect, you can use them on their own or layer over other shadows for a 3-D effect. Every Moondust shade is ultra refined and super reflective but you could still make it even more intense by applying it wet, just spray your brush with a bit of Mac Fix+ and apply, then blend out the edges with a dry brush.

Here’s a list of all the shades and a little description + swatches

Specter – soft pink with tonal sparkle
Element – peach with pink shift and sparkle
Magnetic – purple with blue sparkle
Lightyear – vibrant green with tonal sparkle

Granite – gunmetal with milticoloured sparkle
Lithium – brown with iridesent 3D sparkle
Vega – bright blue with tonal sparkle
Galaxy – somy glue-grey with iridescent sparkle

So what do you think? Isn’t this palette just dreamy? Perfect for the upcoming Autumn months and Party Season … to be honest I love glitter all year round 🙂 I’m planning to film a YouTube tutorial using this palette very soon, so if you would be interested to see that you can subscribe to my channel here.

The Urban Decay Moondust Palette is £35 and you can purchase it here.

I just literally posted a blog about this and I totally agree with you, you need your brush to get wet in order to really get the product from the palette. Or I like to use my fingers, messy but still worth it! xx

I’m on the fence about this! I think it’s so gorgeous and I want it more than anything but I’ve put myself on a spending ban… But I’m so tempted!!
