Currently Loving: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream & All-Over Miracle Oil / review

Happy Thursday guys,

I have recently started a new series called ‘Currently Loving’ as I stopped doing monthly favourites, I do these about once a week and talk about what products I’m currently enjoying.

So today I want to talk to you about a product that has been a favourite of mine for quite some time now – the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. It’s a cult favourite that many people know and love. It has been designed to smooth and hydrate skin on all parts of your body; from the face to arms, elbows, legs, and feet. Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is also unusual in that it can also be used to heal chapped lips, while other creams are usually not designed for application on the lips. It’s all-purpose skin care product that I personally love using to shape my brows, on my dry cuticles and lips. I absolutely swear by this product and ever since a blogger friend recommended it to me (years ago) I’ve always made sure I have some in my beauty cabinet. It really is a miracle product and one I would highly recommend to you guys.

The only thing that I’m not too keen on is the smell of the original cream, but you can get a fragrance free version, although I’m kind of used to the smell now and I don’t really mind it. It retails for £26 for 50ml here

Being such a big fan of the Eight Hour Cream I was very exited to try Elizabeth Arden’s new Eight Hour All-Over Miracle Oil, which came out the beginning of the year (I believe) It contains Tsubaki Oil, which is a popular all-over beauty treatment in Japan and Korea, known for its anti-wrinkle, anti-inflammatory, smoothing and soothing effects, and is even credited as the Geisha’s legendary hair and beauty secret.
It contains a high concentration of Omegas 6 and 9 to help nourish, soothe and protect the skin.
The other ingredients in the oil include grape seed oil, ginger root extract, vitamin E, olive, avocado and sunflower seed oils, and rosemary extract. All of these combine to moisturise, condition, firm, soothe, and protect the skin.
This oil does not smell like Eight Hour Cream The Original, but has a really delicate citrus/floral scent which I love!

You can use this oil on your face, body and hair. I love misting a thin layer to clean, dry skin and massaging in an upward circular motion. It does not clog my pores or make me too oily and it’s light enough for all skin types. On a pamper night I like to use it all over my body, it feels so nice to mist it on after a bath, it really does keep me moisturised all night and my skin feels lovely and soft for at least 8 to 10 hours. I also like to use the oil on my hair, instead of a hair serum. it does a great job on keeping my ends nourished and gives me a healthy shine.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil retails for £29 for 100ml here

So will you you give these a try? What kind of moisturiser/oil are you currently using?

I love the original Eight Hour Cream, including the smell! It’s like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it! I might have to give the oil a try.
