Being the mascara junkie that I am, I’ll be honest and say I probably have about 15 mascaras, possibly 20 but thats all I’ll admit to hehe! Often with my mascaras I will buy one, use it and not buy the same again, just because I love trying new ones. Also being a beauty blogger I get sent a lot to review for you guys so I do get to try a fair amount.
I have used a few Max Factor mascaras and I have to say they make some of the best ones out there, the False Lash Effect is one of my all time faves.
So today I will be sharing with you the new False Lash Epic and here’s a little information straight from the Boots website ..
Designed to stand up to the zoom, the Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara brush with Zoom-Action Tip captures and magnified every detail of every lash for an epic lash fan. No lash is left unseen. How to use: Push the body of the brush deep into the root to capture and magnify every detail of every lash. Then, using both sides of the brush, draw it up through your lashes.
Twist the brush tip towards your eyes and with an up-and-down motion diffuse clumps, volumise and zoom in on tiny lashes.
And here are my thoughts;
I always start with the packaging – the casing is a striking gold, it stands out amongst my other mascaras, and I absolutely love it, it’s a smooth design and feels good when you are applying it.
I like the thickness and consistency of the formula. The brush is very spikey with lots of little plastic bristles, which helps to get all the tiny lashes. With each stroke the lashes are separated neatly so you don’t have that ‘spidery’ effect. You can also achieve really good length and some volume. My lashes are pretty rubbish to be honest but I still think that this mascara works really well and I do like the effect it gives.
You can really build this mascara up nicely without it looking clumpy and achieve more volume and length with each application. It doesn’t smudge or leave you with panda eyes, in fact I’ve found I can get a good 8 hours wear without any flaking at all. This in my books is a great mascara when it comes to lasting power!
It retails for £11.99 in Boots (currently on offer for £9.99) which I feel is an average price for a High Street mascara and well worth its value when it comes to results and lasting power.
I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday, Victoria xo
