Being the mascara junkie that I am, I have a drawer full of them but I’m still looking for new ones and I love to ‘Wear & Compare’ them for you guys and recommend the best ones out there. There’s been so many new mascaras coming out recently and all from the drugstore so I’m actually thinking to film my Top 5 Drugstore Favourites, so do let me know if you would be interested to see that.
Today I will be sharing with you the new Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded* and if you follow me on Snapchat (Vickis_Beauty) you may already know that I’m kind of obsessed with this mascara 🙂
Rimmel London is one brand that is really popular for their mascaras especially ‘Scandaleyes’ so when I heard that they are bringing out a new version of my old time fave I got pretty exited, I’m not gonna lie!
Starting with the packaging, it comes in a chubby neon orange tube, it has gunmetal-silver writing, it’s bold and statement making which I love, that’s the normal black version. They have also brought out one in ‘Extreme Black’ which is the black tube with orange witting, I will definitely be wearing that one for Halloween, I just love the packaging and the mascara itself is SO, super black! (£6.99 here)
You have probably seen the advert on TV with Cara Delevingne, who’s Rimmel’s new brand ambassador, she turns secret agent in the ad, looking super stylish and sexy and her makeup and lashes look amazing.
The main attraction of this mascara is definitely the wand. It comes with a max-density brush with a new tapered tip, it is really volumising and grabs each individual lash without clumping. My lashes are pretty much non-existing but this mascara makes them look so good (picture below) I’ve also noticed it gives my lashes a nice curl, which lasts all day, it does not flake or smudge, it’ve very long wearing which is great if you are always on the go and have no time for makeup touch-ups.
The first time I wore the mascara, it lasted literally the whole day, so when it came to removing it I was actually a little worried that it will be hard to take off, but it came off so easily! I just used my Garnier Micellar water and it came off straight away without any rubbing. According to the press release it comes off with warm water which is amazing, I love mascaras that are easy to remove, as I have sensitive eyes that get very easily irritated if I have to rub on them.
Also new from Rimmel are the Scandaleyes Liners* there are two available – ‘Thick & Thin’ and ‘Micro’ (£5.49 here) Both felt tips and nice and easy to use, I prefer the ‘Micro’ which is really fine and super precise. They are very black and long lasting also waterproof and smudge proof.
So what do you guys think, will you be picking these up? Have you tried Rimmel Mascaras?
Have a fab evening, Victoria xo
