In todays post I want to share with you the new Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Lip Paints as part of Maybelline’s autumn collection. There are five shades available and they come in a squeeze-tube very much similar to the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks, if you are familiar with those. The tubes are slightly smaller at 6.4ml each, which is plenty of product in my opinion. The sponge applicator has a little hole in the middle that allows the product to come out.
The packaging as well as the formulation of the Maybelline Lip Paints reminds me a lot of the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks. They are very pigmented, creamy and moisturising but not sticky. They apply very smoothly and feel comfortable on the lips and not drying at all. Lovely products if you are looking for a pop of colour as there are three bold shades available (Fight Me Fuschia, Gloss Red dy, Vamped Up) but there are also a couple of neutral shades, which are very wearable, perfect for everyday (Stripped Down, Never Bare Down)
I always use a lip liner when it comes to applying any liquid lip product especially if it’s quite bold, however I tried these without a lip liner and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to get a clean finish. I love the little sponge tip applicator, it glides onto the lips evenly and effortlessly.
So overall I really like these, they are creamy and comfortable to wear, non drying and pretty long lasting, also super affordable at just £4.99 each (available here)
What do you guys think? Have you tried them?
