Autumn is upon us and I can’t be more exited, as it is my favorite season of all. Time for bringing out the chunky sweaters, cozy scarves, dark lipsticks, leggings and stylish boots. To me it’s also a time for slowing things down a bit and going for walks in the woods, catching up on reading and lots of hot cups of tea!
Today I created this super simple, yet glowing and sophisticated look that was autumn-inspired. Keep reading below to see all the products used and how I achieved this look!
I used some of my top picks from Next Make Me Beautiful line*, as they have so many lovely products perfect for any Autumn/Winter makeup look.
After applying some tinted moisturiser for my base I went ahead and did my eyebrows, I used Next Make Me Beautiful Brow Palette (£7.50), which contains everything you need to achieve perfect looking brows, including shaping wax, two brow powders, mini tweezers and a blending brush. I filled them in lightly using the medium brown shade and I was very happy with the result – they looked really natural.
To bring some colour back to my face I applied Next Make Me Beautiful Perfect Cheeks Bronzer (£8), which contains some beautiful shades (it actually reminds me of Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick) it also works well as a blush. I used Next Powder Brush (£10) to apply it with, this was actually the first time I used their brushes and I have to say they are really lovely and soft, also cruelty free. Then I applied a light layer of Next Make Me Beautiful Highlighter Sculpting Chubby Stick (£8) in Stardust Glow to the highest points of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose and cupid’s bow. This is such a lovely, very natural highlighter, it glides easily onto the skin and gives the most natural soft glow.
I wanted to keep this look really simple so no need for eyeshadow, instead I decided to use a bit of that shimmer brick bronzer and sweep all over my eyelids for a natural glow. I used Next Make Me Beautiful 4 Piece Eye Collection Brush Set (£8), such lovely super-soft brushes which give a beautiful finish.
For lashes I applied two coats of Next Make Me Beautiful Volumising Mascara (£8), which I’m currently loving as it really does give me so much volume as you can see in the pictures below. It also lengthens and curls my lashes, which is a bonus!
To finish off this look I applied my lipstick, I decided to go for a classic red shade which looked absolutely perfect. I love wearing a red lip for Autumn/Winter and this particular one is so pretty. Sired Red (£8) is a matte lipstick but it feels really comfortable on the lips, without being drying. I definitely need to pick up more of these as I love their formula.
