Hey my loves and Happy New Year!
It’s the first Monday of 2017 and I’m feeling really motivated and inspired, so I want to share with you some of my top tips to help you beat the January blues.
January can be a difficult time of year for many of us, including me. Cold, grey days and post-Christmas indulgence… leaving many of us feeling sluggish and underwhelmed. So hopefully these tips will help you feel a little bit more motivated and ready for a fresh start!
1. Stay positive.
You can listen to the cynics and doubters and believe that success is impossible or you can know that with faith and an optimistic attitude all things are possible! So stop saying ‘I Wish’ and start saying ‘I Will’
2. Get more sleep.
You can’t replace sleep with coffee 🙂
3. Focus on ‘Get to’ vs ‘Have to’
Each day focus on what you get to do, not what you have to do. Life is a gift not an obligation.
4. Instead of being disappointed about where you are…
…think optimistically about where you are going.
5. Believe that everything happens for a reason.
Expect good things to come out of challenging experiences.
6. Read more books than you did in 2016.
7. Don’t waste your energy on gossip, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you can’t control!
Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
8. Zoom focus.
Each day when you wake up in the morning ask: ‘What are the three most important things I need to do today that will help me create the success I desire?’ Then tune out all the distractions and focus on these actions.
9. Smile and laugh more!
They are natural anti-depressants.
10. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements:
I am thankful for __________.
Today I accomplished____________.
