New Year, New Hair / my Balayage treatment at Seanhanna salons

Happy Monday beauties, I hope you all had a fab weekend

I was recently invited to visit Seanhanna salons and today I want to tell you all about my experience getting my hair done.

I’ve never been to Seanhanna before but I’ve heard some great things about the salon from fellow bloggers and friends, so I was filled with confidence before my appointment and I was really looking forward to it. I went to their Putney salon which was really easy to get to from Central London and only a 5 minute walk from the station. Upon arrival I was kindly greeted by my lovely stylist Lloyd, who was super sweet. I told him all about my hair and the look I was going for, we discussed ideas while having coffee and biscuits 🙂

Basically I wanted to freshen up my balayage and get those nice ashy blonde tones back in my hair, as it tends to go quite brassy. Lloyd explained that he would have to use bleach to achieve this, which was absolutely fine with me, I could tell that he knew his stuff so I trusted him completely. I can get quite nervous when it comes to having my hair done and I don’t really like changing my stylist, but I felt really comfortable with Lloyd.

He started by sectioning my hair and hand painting individual pieces to achieve that natural balayage look. Balayage is becoming more and more popular as a lot of celebrities love it and I have to say I much prefer it to the traditional highlights that foils give, it’s a lot more natural and less maintenance as it grows out beautifully and you can wear it longer between appointments. Lloyd used L’Oreal Professional Smartbond treatment which is a new protective and strengthening service that protect and strengthen the hair during bleaching/colouring. It’s a bit similar to Olaplex but much better I would say. My hair felt really soft and was noticeably shiny and healthy, as opposed to dry and brittle (what it normally tends to be after bleaching)

Lloyd washed my hair and applied two different toners to neutralise all the brassiness and then gave me a lovely head massage and deep conditioning treatment. He then cut my hair by getting rid of the dead ends and adding a few layers to frame my face.

I left the salon feeling so happy and pleased with the results. I absolutely adore the colour, thank you so much Seanhanna for having me. I would highly recommend my stylist Lloyd – so lovely and very talented.
