Easy Valentine’s Day Makeup Look using some new favourites from Maybelline

Today I want to share with you this easy-to-do, everyday makeup look which would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. I used all Maybelline* including some old and new favourites but don’t worry if you don’t have them, you can still achieve this look by using similar products.

Step 1. Start by applying foundation/concealer to the face and eyelids to even out your complexion. I used Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless because it lasts really well, it’s great for oily skin and gives a pretty good coverage. I applied it with my beauty blender because I love the smooth finish that it gives, the Real Techniques miracle sponge is a good alternative, don’t forget to wet it first as it applies much better when it’s damp. Cover any dark circles or blemishes with the new Maybelline Master Camo Colour Correcting Concealer palette (I have shade-Light) which I’m really loving at the moment, it comes with 6 different colours, perfect to conceal and cover up any imperfections.

Blend a blusher/bronzer underneath your cheekbones for a healthy glow, I opted for Maybelline Face Studio Bricks Bonzer which looks so pretty and natural.

Step 2. Dot some highlighter on your cheekbones, brow bone, the inner corner of your eyes, down the centre of your nose and on your cupids bow – to get that beautiful glow! I used the highlighter shade from that same concealer palette, it gives such a gorgeous champagne highlight and looks very natural.

Step 3. Using The Nudes eyeshadow palette, apply the taupe shadow to the centre of your eyelid and blend out and up towards the brow bone. I used the bronzey/brown shade on my crease and outer V. Use your fingers to apply/blend the highlighting shade on the inner corner and under the brow. I love this palette it has a beautiful selection of neutrals and the quality of the shadows is really good, so creamy and easy to blend.

Step 4. Apply mascara/eyeliner. I used the new Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel which is pretty good, it has a tiny little wand that grabs and elongates your lashes, it also separates and curls them. I applied some Eylure false lashes for even more drama, but feel free to skip this step 🙂 For eyeliner I used Maybelline Master Precise Curvy, which is really easy to use and lasts very well without fading.

Step 5. Use a lipliner to line your lips in preparation for the lipstick. I used the new Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Contour Palette in Blushed Bombshell, which is really pretty and includes everything you need to create that perfect pout. It has a primer, 3 lip liners, 3 lipsticks and a lip highlighter.

I also really like the new Maybelline Baby Lips Colour Balm crayons I have the shade Pink Crush which is actually what I’m wearing in the picture below. It’s quite an opaque balm, but still really lovely and moisturising.

If you want something more bold I would suggest the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Lipstick in Eternal Cherry. It’s dual ended as the name suggests, one side is the liquid lipstick and the other a clear balm to seal with. It honestly lasts so well, it literally did not budge all day, even after eating and drinking.

So there you have it – your perfect Valentine’s Day look in 5 simple steps. Do you like it? Tag me in your pictures if you decide to recreate it.

You can get all the products I used in Boots or Maybelline

Happy Valentines!  Victoria xo
