Is spring finally here? While we may still be hoping for weather that lets us ditch our wintery layers, there’s nothing stopping us from getting our skin ready for the season.
Having a great base is very important and today I’m going to share with you a couple of new products from YSL Beauty that are going to help you get that fresh-faced look for Spring.
Starting with a primer I’ve been testing out the YSL Touche Éclat Blur primer* that has been designed to even out your skin tone, blur pores and fine lines, and help make-up last longer. It’s perfect for creating that ideal canvas, it blurs and illuminates the skin in such a beautiful way I just love it!
It’s a transparent gel that instantly brightens the skin and smoothes out the pores – just gives you that beautiful healthy glow. I actually like wearing it by itself, over my moisturiser on days when I’m working from home, it just perfects my skin and makes me look fresh and glowy.
YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer retails for £29.50 (30ml) and is available here
Next up I have the YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint Foundation* with a new and advanced formula which includes medium to full coverage with a flawless radiant finish. It now offers even more coverage and staying power while feeling weightless on the skin. It gives me that fresh faced look even when my skin is looking a little tired. I have been working really hard these past few days, with London Fashion Week shows, backstage chaos and rushing around to events and meeting, but this foundation has not let me down!
I’ve actually received quite a few compliments on my skin and it’s all thanks to the combination of both products. They work so well together, and give you that perfect coverage all day long. Shade wise there are 22 shades available which is pretty great, my shade is B30 Almond, which I would describe as a light to medium shade with neutral undertone.
Like I said earlier, the foundation gives a really good coverage so I barely needed anything in terms of covering other imperfections after I applied it. It covers dark under eye circles and redness so well that I didn’t’ even need to use concealer. I used a tiny bit of loose powder on my T-zone as I liked the glow it gave on its own and didn’t want to take it away.
YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint retails for £33.50 (30ml) and is available here
