Today I have for you some new products from Rimmel I’ve recently been testing out, that I’m pretty exited to share.
Starting with the Brow Shake Filling Powder* collection (£5.99)- it features four super soft brow shakers that are perfect for adding shape and clarity to your brows. They are a lightweight powder to fill your brows in, but what’s unique about them is the applicator wand, which I have never seen before.
There are 4 shades available – light brown, medium brown, dark brown and soft black and what makes this product unique is the soft sponge applicator. This is also a 3 in 1 product to fill, define and line, so you can use it as an eyeliner as well.
My brows have a relatively good shape, but they are a little sparse and thin for my liking so I like to fill in a few gaps to make them appear a bit fuller. I would normally use a pomade or a brow pencil so I was really exited to give these a try as they are nothing like I’ve ever used before. At first I actually found it a little hard to use as it was a bit messy to apply as it’s a loose powder. Once I got the hang of they are quick and easy to use and I actually quite like them. I would say these powders are for people who like a natural looking brow as opposed to that perfectly shaped ‘Insta Brow’
Another thing I want to mention is the powder is pretty pigmented so a little goes a long way, I’ve found there seems to be a lot of fall out so my little tip would be to tap off any excess powder before you begin to apply and that would do the trick 🙂
I’m quite happy with the finished looks, I used shade number 2 and 3 mixed together.
Next up we have the brand new Volume Shake Mascara* (£8.99) it features a first-to-market patent-pending shaker system that refreshes the volumising formula whenever it’s needed. Just shake it up to keep it fresh!
It’s such a cool and unique product, it looks to me like a little cocktail shaker 🙂 the actual wand is quite heavy and substantial which I do like. It gives my lashes volume and length without any clumps, it really fans them out it’s also super black. If you hate to throw away half-used mascaras because they dry out then this one will be perfect for you.
Have you tried these yet? What are your thoughts?
