Spring is finally here … and we all want that beautiful luminous glow right?! It’s the perfect season to look fresh-faced and natural so I’m very exited to share with you my updated foundation routine and how to get that perfect flawless base featuring some of my current favourites.
Starting with a primer to smooth out my complexion and fill in any fine lines or pores, I’ve been using Lancôme La Base Pro Hydra Glow Primer* which is such a gorgeous product. It glides on creating the perfect canvas, it feels really light and hydrating. It illuminates the skin and gives that fresh glow, I absolutely love it!
This primer is also infused with Rose essence and 2 types of pearls to revive the complexion with an awakened morning glow. It contains a cocktail blend of 14 actives to intensely hydrate and plump the complexion with moisture. I normally skip my moisturiser when I’m wearing this primer as I feel like it gives me enough hydration and I’ve noticed that it makes my foundation last all day.
Next up I have been loving the new Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation* which gives medium to full coverage with a flawless radiant finish. It has a great staying power while feeling weightless on the skin. It gives me that fresh-faced look even when my skin is looking a little tired. I have been working really hard these past few days, but this foundation has not let me down!
Lancôme Teint Idol Ultra Wear comes in a beautiful glass bottle, as you can expect from Lancôme – the packaging is very luxury and looks beautiful displayed on my dressing table. I’ve actually received quite a few compliments on my skin and it’s all thanks to the combination of both products. They work so well together, and give me that perfect coverage all day long. Shade wise there are 40 shades available making it easier than ever to find your perfect shade match. I wear 005 Beige Ivoire, which I would describe as a light shade with neutral undertone.
Like I said earlier, the foundation gives a really good coverage so I barely need anything in terms of covering other imperfections after applying it. It covers dark under eye circles and redness so well that I don’t even need to use a concealer. I normally like to apply it with my beauty blender but I’ve recently been enjoying the Lancôme Foundation brush* it’s a synthetic bristled brush that provides medium to full coverage and seamless blending for a flawless finish. Because it’s quite small it fits into all the contours of my face, including around the nose and under the eyes.
