Brows are everything to me. When it comes to the eyes, I can skip liner, eyeshadow, even mascara but never the brows. It’s a game changer for my face and it makes the world of difference. It took me years to finally be satisfied with the shape of my brows and years to learn how to draw it, although they’re still not perfect but I’m pretty happy with them at the moment.
Unfortunately I’ve not been blessed with full brows that only need some brow gel to seal the deal. I honestly need at least 3 products if not more for my brows to look right so today I will be sharing with you my current favourites and how I use them in a few easy steps. (all products used are by Eylure*)
Step 1. I always start by brushing my brows and plucking the odd stray hair or two, so obviously you will need a good pair of tweezers for that. I used to swear by my tweezerman but I seem to have lost those, so I’ve been using my new ones from Eylure which are really good and much more affordable.
I also like to use a spoolie to brush my brows into place as it makes it easier to do all the drawing and filling later on. Because naturally, the shape of my brows is a little uneven, I always outline them with a brow pencil first. I have been using Eylure Brow Contour (shade mid brown) for quite a while and I love it, it’s so quick and easy to use.
Step 2. To fill in the brows, I use the powder from Eylure Fleur de Force Brow Palette. It comes with 2 Brow Powders and a highlighter shade (shade medium) The powder will give you a more natural look, which I do like, I’m not too keen on overfilling my brows and the ‘Insta Brow’ trend.
I like to alternate between brow powder and brow pomade it just depends what mood I’m in 🙂 Eylure Brow Pomade is a cream gel that really reminds me of Anastasia DipBrow, I used it so much in the summer last year as it is waterproof and very long lasting. You get a lot of product and it’s very easy to work with. I love it because it’s very easy to achieve a clean line, without having to use a concealer.
Step 3. I use Eylure Fleur de Force Fix and Colour Brow Tamer to set everything in place and it also helps make my brows appear slightly thicker, another great product quite similar to Benefit Gimme Brow.
Step 4. This step is optional and I don’t do it every time but it really does make all the difference, instead of concealer I have been using Eylure Brow Contour pencil which I mentioned earlier, it’s double ended and has a gorgeous brow highlighting side that I like to apply on my brow bone, it looks so pretty I love the finish, it accentuates my brow arch and gives me that lift!
So that’s what I’ve been doing with my brows lately and I’m really happy with the results. I hope you guys found that helpful. I would highly recommend the whole Eylure Brow collection, it really is pretty fab!
