Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Metals & Pigments

I’ve seen all kinds of trends come and go, but the ’90s metallic lip has to be one of my favourites, so today I will be sharing with you the new Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Metals and Pigments* which I’m absolutely obsessed with at the moment.

They are very different to anything else I’ve tried before, they have the consistency of a creamy gloss – but super pigmented and non-sticky. They are actually very hydrating as opposed to drying and I really like their formula.

One layer is all you need, they are super pigmented! They have a very unique crescent moon-shaped applicator, which makes the metallic formula easy to apply with great precision.

There are lots of shades available in the collection but one of my favourites has to be Petal Metal, which is a gorgeous rose gold – so fun and unique.

Here are swatches of the four lipsticks I have (from left to right)

Crush It – Deep magenta,  Mauve Squad – Metallic mauve, Space Case – Metallic grey, Petal Metal – Metallic rose gold

Smashbox has partnered with makeup artist Vlada Haggerty (@vladamua) well known for her amazing lip art, to create their very own lip transformations on set using the new Liquid Pigments. I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch preview and photoshoot and I had the pleasure of working with the very talented Mark Cant who is a well knows beauty photographer and who’s work I admire.

On the picture below I’m wearing the shade Bad Apple topped with some gold glitter, so pretty!

The Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Pigments are available at Boots and retail for £19 each.
What do you think of the metallic lip trend, do you like these?
Thanks so much for reading, Happy Sunday!
