On Saturday I visited Whipsnade Zoo, which is a beautiful Zoo in Bedfordshire area and actually the biggest one in the UK. It’s only a few minutes away from me (I live just outside Dunstable) and less then an hour from London, which makes it very accessible by train and public transport.
Home to more then 2500 species and set on 600 acres in the beautiful Chiltern Hills there’s so much to see and do at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. I really enjoyed my visit and if you watched my Instagram Stories you would have seen all the fun things I got up to.
The highlight of my day was meeting Rod Campbell – the author of one of my all time favourite childhood books ‘Dear Zoo’ in celebration of the books 35th Year Anniversary ZSL are bringing you a super fun experience this May half term. (27th May till 4th June)
So much fun and perfect for your little ones as you get to meet the real life animals, complete the activity trail and enjoy lively story-time sessions at the new interactive Dear Zoo hub. Such a fantastic collaboration between ZSL and Macmillan’s Children books.
I know quite a few of my readers have children so I wanted to share this with you as I think it would be such a fun thing to do this half term. I really enjoyed it myself so I think it would be brilliant for kids + under 3s go free! You can read more about it and book your tickets here.
I had such a fun day at Whipsnade Zoo and there is no doubt that I’ll be back again very soon. Here are a few more photos from the day … photographing the animals was an absolute joy!
What is your local Zoo? Have you ever visited ZSL Whipsnade? Thanks so much for reading,
