Autumn is here, which means it’s time for cozy sweaters, cute boots, and laid back hair looks. There’s just something about this season’s style that seems so effortless and free…
Simple messy waves will never be out of season. So effortless and pretty I really love this look and it has kind of become my signature hair look because it works well for everyday, work, school and even fancy occasions! So today I will be sharing with you how I achieve it and my all-time favourite electrical hair tools.
I swear by my ghd IV Styler and honestly I couldn’t be without it, but I have recently been using their new ghd Platinum Styler* which is actually a limited edition version (supporting breast cancer charities) and comes in this gorgeous pink blush shade. Perfect for straightening and curling my hair, it heats up super quickly and always delivers fantastic results. I’ve tried a lot of different straighteners in the past but ghd has always been by far the best brand I’ve ever used. I find using these always makes my style last longer than when I use anything else.
I’d normally wash and blow dry my hair using the ghd Air hairdryer* I wash my hair every two days and as it’s so long and thick, it can be a massive pain to dry. As I wash it so often I have always worried about the damage the heat of a hairdryer might do to my hair, but with the ghd dryer I don’t worry as much because it encourages moisture to be absorbed into the hair shaft, leaving my usually frazzled ends more glossy and hydrated. It’s a fab hairdryer and the sleek pink and black design is just gorgeous!
As I said this hairstyle is super easy to create so all I do is pick random pieces of hair and twist and wrap around the barrel to create an ‘S’ bend waves. Then I brush through to loosen the waves, I love using the ghd Paddle Brush* as it gently goes through the hair without and pulling or creating any static. I finish the style by setting with some hairspray, I also like to apply a tiny amount of hair oil to add a bit of shine and smooth out any split ends.
You can shop the limited edition ghd Pink Blush collection here and for every product sold ghd will make a donation to Breast Cancer Now in the UK, which is such an amazing cause!
