I visited my local Zoo a couple of days ago for their Halloween half-term ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event (21-31 October) and I had so much fun – it was a day full of Halloween inspired activities and absolutely brilliant for any Halloween obsessed animal lover!
There were so many Halloween themed things going on, with the opportunity to discover fascinating artefacts of the natural world at the ‘Museum of Fantastic Creatures’. Enjoy some ‘Creepy Crafts’ and carve your own pumpkin or play a game of ‘Ghastly Mini Golf’… there was literally so much to do, it was the perfect family day out.
For the little ones especially, to climb aboard the ‘Eerie Express’ and enjoy a spooktacular ride around the Zoo, ‘The Magic & Mayhem Museum’ for some magical fun, music and games as well as spooky versions of the Zoo’s usual talks, feeds and demonstrations involving many of its animals across all its enclosures.
I really enjoyed the ‘Ghost of Madagascar’ Lemur demonstrations and also the ‘Owloween’ – coming face to face with their spectacular Owls in a super fun free-flying demonstration.
It was a brilliant day and I would highly recommend it if you’re looking to do something fun this Halloween half term week. You can read all about it and book your tickets here for ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and here for ZSL London Zoo.
