My Top Three High End Foundations for flawless skin

Choosing the right foundation can be very tricky, it’s important to find the best formula for your skin, whether it’s oily dry or acne prone, but it’s not always easy. There is a lot of makeup out there, from sheer to full coverage foundations, high-end to drugstore, matte to dewy-finish it can be very overwhelming I know!

So today I will be sharing with you my current favourite high end foundations and perhaps I can also do a drugstore version in another post. I like all of these foundation but all for different reasons and I’m gonna tell you all bout them now.

Starting with Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear foundation* I’m currently obsessed with it! It’s very long lasting so I tend to wear it when I want my makeup to last all day and look flawless. It gives a medium to full coverage without feeling heavy or looking cakey. It feels weightless on the skin, which I love, it also gives a semi-matte finish, which is great if you have oily skin.

I really like the formula of this foundation, it applies really well (with a foundation brush or beauty blender) it also stays true to its colour, it does not oxidise. I have worn this foundation in the rain and at the gym and it honestly didn’t budge. It also covers any blemishes or enlarged pores to give you that airbrushed skin, great for a night out or a special event. I also like it because it feels comfortable on, looks natural and lets my skin breathe. It retails for £35 here

Next up I have the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation Stick* which is quite different to everything I’ve ever used before but I actually really like it. It’s oil-free, highly pigmented and long wearing, the coverage is buildable with a natural-looking matte finish I really like using it for touch-ups, as a spot concealer you can even use it to contour.

What I like about it is that it is not messy since it’s a stick formula and it’s very lightweight on the skin, the powder-crème texture blends smoothly, it really does give a lovely finish. It’s great for oily skin and keeps me shine free, it also helps to reduce the appearance of redness. It retails for £25.50 here

I also wanted to quickly mention the concealer I have been using alongside this foundation, it’s the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage High Coverage concealer* this is such a good concealer I’m literally obsessed with it, it’s super-pigmented and full-coverage and what’s great about is is it does not crease so you can use it under the eyes to cover dark circles.

It conceal imperfections it’s lightweight and easily blendable and a little goes a long way! It retails for £22 here

Last but not least I have the Too Faced Born This Way foundation* – it gives the most natural, flawless coverage, you would’t even know you’re wearing foundation. It’s light and natural, it feels very comfortable on but still gives a beautiful medium coverage.

This foundation is also infused with some amazing ingredients including coconut water to naturally replenish moisture levels, alpine rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity and hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance. It retails for £29 here. I would highly recommend this one and honestly if I had to choose a favourite out of the tree I don’t think that I would be able to as I love them equally as much!

Have you tried any of these foundations? Have you got any other ones to recommend to me?

Thanks so much for reading,
