Cliphair Clip-in Remy human Hair extensions / review + the perfect messy ponytail

Happy Monday loves,

I hope you had a fab weekend.

Today I have a hair related post for you (as requested) I get questions about my hair all the time, the cut, colour, hairstyles etc… Being a beauty blogger I’m always changing up the products I use and also my hair looks, and although my hair is quite long occasionally I like wearing hair extensions for even more length and volume, so today I will be sharing with you my go to hair extensions.

I have tried many brands throughout the years but one of my favourites has to be Cliphair. I have been wearing their hair for quite some time, going back a few years ago when I was still brunette. They do a lot of different types of hair extensions but the one I wear and absolutely love is their Double Wefted full head clip-in set*

Since I have balayage highlights and a few different tones in my hair  it was quite easy for me to pick my shade (Lightest Brown/Bleach Blonde mix #18/613) Cliphair offers a good variety of light and dark shades as well as mixed colours, so you are bound to find a shade to suit you.

Like most hair extension sets, they come in a varity of different lengths/grams. I have the 18″ set that comes with 170 grams of hair. Cliphair hair extensions are made from 100% Remy Human Hair, so you can use heat tools on them, wash them and even colour them.

The set I have comes with 8 wefts in total –

Two 8 inch (20cm) wide wefts – 3 clips per weft
Two 6 inch (15cm) wide wefts – 3 clips per weft
Two 4 inch (10cm) wide wefts – 2 clips per weft
Two 2 inch (5cm) wide wefts – 1 clip per weft

You get quite a lot of hair so you don’t necessarily need to use all of it, you can just use a few pieces to add a little bit of extra length and volume to your hair. They’re super easy to clip in and attach and I like to run the straighteners through or add a few quick curls to ensure they blend in with my natural hair.

They are also a good value for money (mine retail for £84.99 + free delivery) The service from the brand themselves is also brilliant. They are always quick to respond to any queries I’ve had when it came to the colour match and length of my extensions. As I gradually get blonder throughout the year, I’m confident that they will be able to assist me in getting the perfect shade for my hair!
Last week I asked you guys what hairstyles you wanted me to create and most of you said a messy ponytail, so here’s a step by step on how I created it and as you can see it looks great with hair extensions.
1 To start, spray your hair with some texturising spray or dry shampoo which will help to create a bit of texture and body.
2 Carefully smooth your hair and gather it into a low ponytail. Secure it with a hairband.
2 Try creating your very own hairband cover out of your hair, just take a 2-inch section of hair from underneath your ponytail and wrap it around your hairband, until it’s completely covered. Secure this piece of hair underneath the ponytail with a couple of bobby pins, so that they’re completely hidden.

4  Add a few loose waves using a hair straightener or tong and finish up with a quick all-over spritz of hairspray to ensure your messy ponytail lasts all day.

Have you tried hair extensions before? Do you like this hairstyle?

Like I said previously, if you would like to see a follow up post showing more different hairstyles I can create with my hair extensions, just let me know in the comments!

Thanks so much for reading,

Victoria xo
