A couple of weeks ago I had one of the most exiting experiences in my life and I can’t wait to share it with you guys! well I was lucky enough to be invited to stay at one of Whipsnade Zoo’s cute Lookout Lodges, which was absolutely amazing and a once in a lifetime opportunity for any animal lover to escape everyday life for a very special night.

The fun began at 4:30 at the Zoo Lodge reception, where we were greeted with a much welcome glass of prosecco (don’t mind if I do) and first met our lovely hosts. The itinerary for the evening was shared, while we were allocated lodges, which all have fun (you guessed it) animal themed names.

There were eight beautiful wooden lodges set in a lovely fenced off area among the trees, we had the Elephant Lodge which has a little veranda with two deck chair and as you go in there were two beds, a pull-out sofa bed, a desk with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a kettle. Some toiletries, linen and towels – everything you could possibly need.

After we settled in with a nice cup of tea and squeezed in a few fun photos, it was time to go on our first tour of the evening through the continents of Asia and Africa. We started by feeding the beautiful Bongos, (a shockingly rare chestnut red with white stripes antelope) their supper of apple and cabbage. Then on to see and learn about the humoungus white rhino’s living at the zoo. I bet you didn’t know an adult male can weigh over two tons, and eat 120lbs of grass a day! Finally off to see the pride of lions settling down for the night. It was so very interesting to find out more about each animal species and the private safari-truck tour around the Zoo at sunset a very special experience indeed. The views were beautiful as the sun went down behind the Woburn hills.

When the tour was over we were taken to the restaurant for dinner and drinks, there were so many delicious foods to choose from including plenty of vegetarian options which suited us perfectly. We even had a cheeky glass of wine 🙂

Afterwards we headed out on a torchlight stroll to see some of the animals as never seen before. It was something special to see them at night as you would never usually get to do so, and to make it even more magical, a bellow of lion roars filled the night sky as the pride stretched their vocal cords to the max….

Once back at our lodge it was time to relax and have a nice cup of hot chocolate before climbing into bed and reflecting on the experience so far. I forgot to mention there were wash facilities with showers and toilets a short stroll from the lodges, which was perfect for those late night ‘calls of nature’ 🙂

The beds were so cozy and comfy, there’s even a little heater in the lodge and extra blankets to keep us warm. After all that fresh air and excitement, we slept really well.

I woke up extra early which is not like me at all but I was so exited to take some sunrise photos and sit on the veranda enjoying a cup of coffee. It was a beautiful morning, the air fresh and all I could hear were birds tweeting. It was very relaxing and tranquil.

We rode the safari truck to breakfast served up at Wild Bite Cafe. So many yummy foods on offer including full cooked breakfast, pastries, fruit and plenty of hot and cold drinks to enjoy.

Now with tummy filled, I was so exited for the morning tour of the zoo around the Africa and European areas. It was such fun helping to feed the animals their breakfast. The Lemurs so inquisitive and fiesty, were very entertaining as I’m sure you can imagine. The gorgeous two female brown bears were super cute having heard us coming and so sat down at the special feeding spot waiting ever so patiently for breakfast. The keepers were infinately knowledgable on all the species we visited, and included fun facts about individuals of each animal too, as they all have very different characters and mannerisms. We left feeling truly enlightened after such a beautiful insight into the animal kingdom.

We checked out of our lodges and went to explore the Zoo, as you get two days access included in the Lodge package and also free car park, it was really nice driving around exploring and taking photos.

I’m sure you will, as we did, find the whole Lookout Lodge package and experience, great value for money and a truly spiritual encounter.

You can find out more information and book your Lookout Lodge experience here.

Thanks so much for reading, happy Monday!

Happy Thursday loves,

I hope you’re all really well, I’ve been meaning to share with you this amazing beauty app called Slapp, which is super fun and unique!

Basically you download it on the app store (it’s available for iPhone and Android) You take a selfie and the app instantly matches you to the foundations, tints and concealers that are right for your skin tone – genius!

The other great thing about it is that it caters for all skin tones and types which is amazing! They’re so many fab brands including Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Too Faced, Clinique and more.

This app is totally free and it really works, it can be quite difficult to colour match and so many people struggle, so it’s quite handy to have Slapp app to do it for you on the go. I was shade matched with Too Faced ‘Born this way’ foundation and Benefit ‘Fake up’ concealer which were both great matches and ones I’ve been wearing all summer.

Have you tried Slapp app?

Thanks so much for reading,

Happy Tuesday my lovelies,

Today’s post is super duper exiting and I have been SO looking forward to sharing with you one of the most epic press trips ever! Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to Osea Island – enchanting and exclusive private island located surprisingly close to central London. It sits on the Blackwater Estuary surrounded by four and a half miles of its own beaches and coastline – yes it’s a little Paradise!

Team Benefit Cosmetics had hired the whole island and turned it into a ‘Pink Heaven’ to throw the most epic party. Osea Island aka ‘BeneIsland’ became home to myself and 60 other amazing bloggers and it was honestly the best two days ever…

Our day started in London; we all had to meet at the Bene Bus Stop near Liverpool Street quite early in the morning and I got there way before anyone else, I was super exited and I just didn’t wanna be late. It was so lovely to meet the Benebabes and all the other bloggers, I actually knew most of them which was really nice.

We were all given a pink luggage tag with our name on it, a delicious breakfast and drinks for the coach journey. We also received a super fun survival kit with some Benefit beauty products, and a few other fun essentials which was a lovely touch.

It took just over an hour to arrive on the island, we were laughing and singing along the way 🙂 We were all super exited to cross the causeway in order to get to BeneIsland, I forgot to mention that Osea Island is a tidal island that can only be accessed at a certain time of the day, which makes it so unique and amazing! A fun fact for you – the film ‘Woman in Black’ which is one of my favourite films was actually filmed there.

We were all so exited to arrive, greeted with pink confetti, party music and cocktails it was lovely to see everyone and go on a little tour of the island before heading back to our rooms to get ready for lunch. My room was within the very charming ‘Limes’ cottage I shared with four other girls which were all super sweet. The accomodation on the island has been stylishly restored incorporating period style with modern Edwardian features, so unique and full of character I just love the beach style theme.

Our cottage ‘The Limes’ had a spacious living room with open fire place and a lovely kitchen/dining area. It also had a huge garden with beautiful views of the island. My bedroom had an antique sleigh bed and a beautiful bathroom with roll top bath. I fell in love with the place! Benefit had also very kindly left some fabulous goodies for me including a whole goodie bag full of beauty products, the amazing Benefit brow collection, some slippers, a towel, flip flops, toiletries and more personalised goodies. I also had a gorgeous GHD hair straighteners which was very handy as I forgot mine at home but the most lovely touch was a little personalised message in a bottle! So incredibly sweet and generous of them!

We had a bit of time to relax and settle in before getting ready for the BBQ and Pool Party which I was super exited for. I opted for a swimsuit and denim shorts and put on my new Benefit sliders.
The pool area looked absolutely amazing, there were sun loungers and pink beach towels for everyone, cute pool floats, beach balls, DJ booth, a Bene Ping Pong table and all sorts of fun activities and games set out for us. There was also a Mahiki cocktail bar and a delicious food/BBQ area. I started off by having my brows done and makeup touched up ready for those fun selfies by the pool.

Everything was so pretty and insta-grammable, there were photo opportunities everywhere! Pink Heaven and a dream come true! The atmosphere was amazing, we danced and played party games it was such a laugh and being able to share it with some of my friends, especially the lovely guys from Benefit, made it even better. There was another little area with more fun activities including bouncy castles, ball pools, popcorn and candy floss. I even went for a little bike ride around the island with some of the other girls, which was super fun.

We went back to our rooms for a little rest and to freshen up and put our glam on ready for dinner. All the products I used were from Benefit and after sharing some selfies on Insta story so many of you asked me to recreate the look and share all the products I used so that will be coming up really soon. I can’t wait to share with you all the fab new Benefit launches and some of my all time faves.

Our evening started with cocktails and canapés at the Captain House which was situated right on the beach and looked absolutely beautiful. Then we walked to our dinner location the sun was starting to set and there were twinkling lights along the way, little fire candles, even the trees were lit pink. Our dinner setting was magical full of lights and flowers it was so dreamy and pink, the dinner was amazing followed by champagne and cocktails. We even had a personalised Dandelion Twinkle so many lovely little touches!

After dinner we all headed out to another beautiful setting with lights, fire and music for some dessert, more delicious drinks and the after party. We had toasted marshmallows, s’mores and doughnuts, baileys coffee and hot chocolate it was absolutely magical. We even had little pink blankets to keep us warm while sitting around the fire.

We headed into the bar to dance the night away, the music was brilliant. We partied till the early hours of the morning, I was so tired and my feet were aching from all the dancing but what a fab night we had!

I got up pretty early in the morning to pack and get ready for breakfast, it was Porefessional themed which was so cute, there were lots of delicious things to choose from so I opted for my all time fave Egg + Avo on toast. We had a nice cup of coffee in the garden by the pool, it was such a beautiful day. We then boarded the coach back to London, feeling so sad as we didn’t want to leave.

Once again I feel so lucky and extremely grateful to have been a part of such a fun adventure, a big thank you to the most amazing team at Benefit Cosmetics! Special thanks to Annie, Anthony, Ruth and Estelle, you guys are incredible!

Thank you all so much for reading, I’m in the process of editing my vlog, which should hopefully be up tomorrow so I will add a link so you can watch it but in the meantime you should all go check out Benefit’s YouTube channel and subscribe, they have the video up of Beneisland and I’m in it dancing by the pool, go watch it here.

Happy Friday my lovelies,

Today I will be sharing with you Clinique’s brand new limited-edition beauty collection in collaboration with interior designer Jonathan Adler.

This beautiful collection includes a few of Clinique’s best-selling makeup products – a cleansing brush, makeup brushes, lipsticks, eye shadows and blushes in a gorgeous limited-edition geometric print. I’m so in love with the colours, they’re just so bright, vibrant and happy, absolutely perfect for summer.

I really appreciate beautiful packaging, I love the art-deco style of this collection, the colours and designs, it was an absolute joy to photograph and so instagrammable!

I adore Jonathan Adler’s designs, I had a brief look around his Notting Hill store at the launch event and I fell in love with his work, I literally wanted everything for my house – home decor goals! 🙂

The designer was inspired by ‘jet-set glamour’ and wanted the collection to reflect the luxury and beauty of different iconic summer destinations and some of his favourite travel spots, including Capri, Palm Beach and Santorini.

Such a beautiful and unique collection, very chic and classic and here are some of the products including swatches.

Clinique + Jonathan Adler Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush* (RRP ÂŁ79) comes in a limited-edition geometric pattern version with a matching travel case and a Foaming Facial Cleanser. I’m so obsessed with this brush, it has replaced my Clarisonic, it’s so good.

Clinique + Jonathan Adler Luxe Brush Collection* (RRP ÂŁ45) features four gorgeous limited-edition pink brushes in a lovely fuchsia travel kit with the same geometric-print design. These brushes are so good and absolutely perfect for travelling, including a Powder brush, Blush brush and two Eyeshadow brushes.

Clinique + Jonathan Adler Lip Pop* (RRP ÂŁ16.50) – these absolutely beautiful lipsticks were inspired by the designer’s Globo Collection (colourful domes of acrylic and brass) Each lipstick features a gem-like acrylic cabochon atop the cap and Jonathan’s signature geometric pattern around the tube. These are available in 12 shades and I have four to show you.

Clinique + Jonathan Adler Lid Pop and Cheek Pop* (Rap ÂŁ15.50) are inspired by French gardens and feature that gorgeous limited-edition geometric pattern on the lids and also imprinted into the powder, which is such a unique touch. The shades that I have are so pretty and perfect for summer.

So what do you think of this collection? Do you love it as much as I do? I can’t wait to take some of the products to Barcelona with me next week – a definite beach bag essential!

This collection is now available at Clinique and nationwide from 18th August.

Thanks so much for reading,

Victoria xo
