Happy Thursday loves, I hope you are all well,

The past couple of weeks have brought some bueatiful sunny weather here in London, and I can’t get enough! This also means that I’ve switched up my hair care routine for Summer and in todays post I will be sharing some of my current favourites.

Happy Monday my lovelies,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend enjoying the beautiful weather. It’s actually a little too hot for my liking, it seems like we’re experiencing a mini heatwave 🙂 so it’s more important then ever to use products that’ll help you protect your skin from the sun and prevent problems that can occur from the heat.

I’ve been trying to avoid sitting in the sun as it tends to give me really bad headaches but also because of the moisturiser I’m currently using and I’m exited to tell you more about it in todays post.

ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Day Cream SPF 30* is a lovely skin smoothing day cream that helps to renew, smooth and nourish the skin. It has a gentle resurfacing formula that helps to reduce signs of ageing, including fine lines and wrinkles.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I’ve definitely noticed my skin looking more fresh, even and clear.

This moisturiser also has broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection SPF 30 which is so important to use on a daily basis. It’s actually best to avoid any UV exposure whilst using any resurfacing programme so this is what I’ve been doing whilst using the cream and I’m so happy with the results!

Have you tried Elemis? What are your summer skincare favourites?

When it comes to an event as grand and downright glam as Royal Ascot, you don’t want to be the one turned away for a #fashionfail, so today I will be sharing with you my Style Guide for the perfect race day outfit, including some useful hints and tips.

I love everything about Royal Ascot – the elegant dresses and stylish headwear, it’s the strict fashion rules that make this event the most spectacular of all! It’s such a great opportunity for us ladies to express our femininity and immerse ourselves fully in the beauty of our surroundings.

So if you’re planning to go to the Royal Ascot this year, here are some style guidelines you need to respect.

  • Dresses and skirts should be of modest length, falling just above the knee or longer
  • Tops and dresses should have straps of one inch or greater
  • Jackets and pashminas are permitted but must be worn over dresses and tops to comply with the dress code inside the Royal Enclosure
  • Trouser suits are allowed but should be of full length and matching colour and material
  • Hats should be worn; but a headpiece which has a base of 4 inches (10cm) or greater in diameter is an acceptable alternative

Debenhams have a beautiful selection of occasion dresses and headpieces which would be absolutely perfect for the races. I opted for this gorgeous Black Bandeau Orchid Print Dress* (with detachable straps) from the exclusive VIP Star collection by Julien MacDonald.

This dress has a very flattering A-line skirt with a bold orchid print, it feels very comfortable and it’s the perfect midi length. It would look great teamed with high sandals and a box clutch for an elegant look.

In my opinion, it’s all about the headpiece! You can wear beautiful elegant dresses or suits at any formal event but hats – that’s something special! That’s what makes Ascot so amazing.

The headpiece I’m wearing is also from Debenhams VIP Star collection by Julien MacDonald, this Orchid Saucer Fascinator* is the perfect piece to finish any special occasion ensemble. In sleek black, the elegant design comprises a saucer-shaped construction with vibrant orchid detailing furnishing the headband for a chic contrast, I absolutely love it!

Are you going to Royal Ascot this year? Tweet or tag me your photos as I’d love to see your outfits 🙂

I’m so exited to share with you today the gorgeous new Limited Edition Lancôme Blush Subtil Crème*

There are three shades available in the collection, all so pretty and absolutely perfect for Summer! They have a cream to powder consistency and give a gorgeous glowy finish.

Lancôme Blush Subtil Créme has such a unique formula. It’s silky soft and so easy to blend – an absolute dream to work with! And can we just look at the packaging – it’s so so cute, they actually remind me of little macaroons 🙂

The shades are perfect for summer I just love the beautiful dewy glow they give to my cheeks and look so natural. I’ve been hearing all about a new trend called ‘Draping’ which is actually really easy to achieve and all you have to do is replace your bronzer and contour with a blush instead to give your face a more natural, sculpted glow.
Use a combination of darker and lighter pink shades to bring out the natural ‘drape’ of the face. I may film a quick Instagram tutorial on this soon to show you the technique I use.

Have you tried the new Lancôme Blush Subtil Crème? Would you try the new ‘Draping’ trend?

I visited ZSL London Zoo for the first time in years last Friday to celebrate Zoo Nights – their brand new after-hours adventure this Summer. The event takes place every Friday between 2nd June – 14th of July 6:00pm-10.00pm.

This is such a fun experience for adults (18+ only) with an array of after-hours explorations to enjoy, including live music and entertainment and more than 17,000 animals to visit – such a great way to celebrate summer in the city!

We went on our own sunset tour to explore the wildlife and saw so many animals at feeding time, which was really interesting, you could even take part in a guided tour ‘The Birds and Bees – uncut’ to learn all about animal reproduction. There was a really fun interactive quiz show which Mark was very good at, and I learned a thing or two 🙂

Being a foodie I really enjoyed browsing around the Street Food Festival with so many yummy things to eat and drink but my favourite part of the evening was chilling out at the Light Lounge. There were comfy bean bags to sit on and enjoy the live music and entertainment as the sun set over the Zoo. The perfect night to spend with your partner or friends enjoying a cocktail or two.

This is such a great way to start the weekend, I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a different kind of experience this summer. Zoo Nights will run every Friday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm with everyone over the age of 18 invited to experience the magic of the Zoo after-hours! Tickets are £17.50 and you can book here, but hurry there’s limited availability www.zsl.org/zoonights

Have you been to ZSL London Zoo?
