London Fashion Week is over for another year and what a great week it was! SS18 is looking to be a fabulous season with some really amazing trends. Watching the shows, meeting with the designers behind these exquisite collections, working backstage with some of my favourite brands, it has been crazy busy but so worth it!

In today’s post I want to share with you some of my highlights and favourite things I wore, as I know that LFW loads on the pressure when it comes to dressing because as much as we like observing the trends, we all like to dress up for the part too and look fabulous. But we have to deal with the rain, public transport, and making it to every show on our schedule… it’s pretty impossible if you ask me!

This season I wanted to keep it all simple, classic and neutral, although I did wear a couple of statement pieces as I wanted to incorporate some colour into my outfits.

I always get asked what are my favourite trends for Autumn, well this season I’m absolutely loving the tartan/check trend and also reds, a pair or red boots, clutch or a leather jacket can really make your outfit come to life.

I’m loving the skinny leather/PU pants if you want to make your look a bit more edgy and glam. Worn with a graphic tee, oversized denim jacket or blazer and a pair of ankle boots will be my go to outfit this Autumn.

I absolutely fell in love with these gorgeous Kendal and Kylie Velvet lace-up boots in navy from Very Exclusive, to add a bit of glam to my pretty casual outfit I wore on Day 1 – Jenna Skinny Jeans, Grey Check Blazer and Maison De La Mode Slogan Pearl Embelished t-shirt (New Look for Asos)

Another piece I’m completely obsessed with is this dusty pink frilly dress by C/Meo Collective (Very Exclusive) which is so pretty and girly and so me! I paired it up with these gorgeous Grey Suede over the knee boots (Kendal and Kylie collection)

Another favourite piece was the Versus Versace all over print midi dress (Very Exclusive) which was super comfy but yet very bold and statement making.

I enjoyed putting pieces together to create outfits that were practical but still quite smart, without compromising my personal style. I enjoyed mixing designer and high street as well, the trick is to find a few key high end pieces to build your outfit on, as you only need one designer piece to provide the illusion of a high end wardrobe. It is important to invest in timeless pieces as well, which can last more than one season.

A couple of my show highlights included –

–  Sadie Williams

Sadie Williams’ signature graphic shapes made an appearance in her latest SS18 collection inspired by a world of outdoor adventure and free spirits. I loved the beautiful bold block colours and patterns especially the sequinned co-ords beneath an oversized khaki printed jackets. She incorporated the functionality and details of outdoor clothing but gave them a new glimmering girly twist, just gorgeous!

–  Rocky Star

This season Rocky Star went heavy on the sparkle and embellishment which I absolutely loved! Beautiful sequins and animal prints, butterfly wings and reptile scales – absolute perfection! The jewellery gave another nod to his Indian heritage as the models’ headpieces dressed their foreheads in sparkles, the makeup was also beautiful – blue, turquoise, gold and brown tones complementing the bold style. So many forms of embellishment and embroidery made up of sequins and beads complied into floor-length gowns and sexy shorter dresses. Definitely one of my favourite collections this season.

Another highlight of LFW was attending a breakfast with Maybelline to meet some amazing US guests and influencers and a sneak peak to some fab new launches including Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks, Tattoo Brow and more, which I’m so exited to share with you very soon.

A lot of you requested to see a makeup tutorial using some of the new products so that’s what I’m gonna do, perhaps I will create an Autumn/Halloween look as that’s quite seasonal 🙂

Although it’s only my third London fashion week, I’ve still learned so much! I loved all the questions you guys were asking me on Instagram story, it was such a great way to interact with you, perhaps I will do more Live stories in the future.

So that’s a wrap! What was your favourite look? Do you have any other fashion week questions for me?

Hi guys! I have been dying to share a recap of my recent trip to Barcelona with you all and I am finally sitting down to do just that! Life has been extremely busy since I got back a few weeks ago so I apologize for the delay in sharing this recap with you! I just wanted to tell you a little bit about Barcelona, our travel and hotel stay and also what I wore out 🙂

It was the first time my husband and I were visiting Barcelona and we completely fell in love with this historical and architecturally stunning city! There was something so special about the air there that I just can’t describe. For such a busy city there was something that seemed so calm and peaceful about it.

We traveled with Vueling Airlines* – a Barcelona based low-cost airline offering affordable flights to, from and within Spain. We’ve never flown with them before but I have to say it was such a pleasant flight, the service was brilliant and all the staff were lovely.

When we landed in Barcelona, we had transport arranged to take us to our first hotel – Sercotel Barcelona Gate* located in Sant Joan Despi, the hotel was about 15 mins away from the airport, which was pretty good. Barcelona Gate hotel is a 4-star hotel, our room was spacious, modern and very functional and has everything you would need, all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The second hotel we visited was Novotel Barcelona Sant Joan Despi* another lovely 4-star hotel, with beautiful garden, restaurant and a poolside terrace. The service and staff were absolutely brilliant and very friendly. Our room was spacious, contemporary in design and perfect for all all our needs.

Our favorite thing about Barcelona is that it has a little bit of everything. A visit to this beautiful Spanish city means a healthy dose of culture, more art and amazing architecture than you’ll know what to do with, some of the most renowned restaurants in the world, quick access to the beach any time you’d like, and an incredibly rich history. Sounds pretty perfect right! If you’re considering a trip here with your girlfriends, take it from me: You can’t go wrong with a trip to Barcelona!

There is so much to see in Barcelona, and unless you’re there for an extended stay, it’s impossible to catch a glimpse of everything. That being said, a bike tour is a great way to see more of the city than you’re able to on foot. We saw so many people riding bikes and it’s definitely something were going to do next time.

The beaches of Barcelona are a top attraction in the summer, we absolutely loved it there went every single day. We would normally get a taxi to the beach front and then walk along the sea to all the beaches. But bear in mind that there are 5 miles of beaches in one continuous stretch and it can take a long time to walk round. For city beaches they are pretty good and have excelllent faciliteis.

So here are some of my favourite photos, all the swimwear/beachwear is from Debenhams*

My heart sunk to hear of the recent terror act which marred this beautiful city. I plea for this not to deter you from experiencing all it has to offer, as It certainly has not us as we eagerly plan our return.

Happy Saturday loves,

I’m really exited to share with you a brand new brow product as part of Benefit Cosmetics existing brow family, it is called Foolproof Brow Powder* and as the name suggests is super easy and quick to use. It comes in three shades – light, medium and deep, I have shade 3, which is the medium one.

This is the perfect product to use everyday to achieve a soft, more natural looking brow. It’s very easy to apply and lasts all day, it helps to fill in any little sparse areas and give you fuller looking brows. The powder consists of two different shades, a light shade for the inner part and a darker shade for the tail end.

In the compact you also get a dual-ended tool which has a sponge applicator on one end and a spooly on the other. It’s very convenient and handy to use although I think I prefer to use my regular brow brush as it’s a bit more precise. I have a lot of gaps in my brows as you can see in the photo below and this powder is perfect to fill those in, it gives a very natural look.

I also wanted to mention the packaging of the compact, it’s just so cute, quite similar to the rest of the brow products in the line, which is really nice. It looks like a little tin box with pink writing. I’m a sucker for packaging and I really love this one.

Here are the swatches of the Benefit Cosmetics Foolproof Brow Powder in shade 3. The powder feels very soft and applies evenly, it adheres to the skin quite well which really helps if you’re trying to fill in any sparse areas.

The Benefit Cosmetics Foolproof Brow Powder* is now available to purchase at Debenhams and retails for £20.

Have you tried any of the Benefit brow products? What’s your favourite?

Thanks so much for reading, I hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend,

A couple of weeks ago I had one of the most exiting experiences in my life and I can’t wait to share it with you guys! well I was lucky enough to be invited to stay at one of Whipsnade Zoo’s cute Lookout Lodges, which was absolutely amazing and a once in a lifetime opportunity for any animal lover to escape everyday life for a very special night.

The fun began at 4:30 at the Zoo Lodge reception, where we were greeted with a much welcome glass of prosecco (don’t mind if I do) and first met our lovely hosts. The itinerary for the evening was shared, while we were allocated lodges, which all have fun (you guessed it) animal themed names.

There were eight beautiful wooden lodges set in a lovely fenced off area among the trees, we had the Elephant Lodge which has a little veranda with two deck chair and as you go in there were two beds, a pull-out sofa bed, a desk with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a kettle. Some toiletries, linen and towels – everything you could possibly need.

After we settled in with a nice cup of tea and squeezed in a few fun photos, it was time to go on our first tour of the evening through the continents of Asia and Africa. We started by feeding the beautiful Bongos, (a shockingly rare chestnut red with white stripes antelope) their supper of apple and cabbage. Then on to see and learn about the humoungus white rhino’s living at the zoo. I bet you didn’t know an adult male can weigh over two tons, and eat 120lbs of grass a day! Finally off to see the pride of lions settling down for the night. It was so very interesting to find out more about each animal species and the private safari-truck tour around the Zoo at sunset a very special experience indeed. The views were beautiful as the sun went down behind the Woburn hills.

When the tour was over we were taken to the restaurant for dinner and drinks, there were so many delicious foods to choose from including plenty of vegetarian options which suited us perfectly. We even had a cheeky glass of wine 🙂

Afterwards we headed out on a torchlight stroll to see some of the animals as never seen before. It was something special to see them at night as you would never usually get to do so, and to make it even more magical, a bellow of lion roars filled the night sky as the pride stretched their vocal cords to the max….

Once back at our lodge it was time to relax and have a nice cup of hot chocolate before climbing into bed and reflecting on the experience so far. I forgot to mention there were wash facilities with showers and toilets a short stroll from the lodges, which was perfect for those late night ‘calls of nature’ 🙂

The beds were so cozy and comfy, there’s even a little heater in the lodge and extra blankets to keep us warm. After all that fresh air and excitement, we slept really well.

I woke up extra early which is not like me at all but I was so exited to take some sunrise photos and sit on the veranda enjoying a cup of coffee. It was a beautiful morning, the air fresh and all I could hear were birds tweeting. It was very relaxing and tranquil.

We rode the safari truck to breakfast served up at Wild Bite Cafe. So many yummy foods on offer including full cooked breakfast, pastries, fruit and plenty of hot and cold drinks to enjoy.

Now with tummy filled, I was so exited for the morning tour of the zoo around the Africa and European areas. It was such fun helping to feed the animals their breakfast. The Lemurs so inquisitive and fiesty, were very entertaining as I’m sure you can imagine. The gorgeous two female brown bears were super cute having heard us coming and so sat down at the special feeding spot waiting ever so patiently for breakfast. The keepers were infinately knowledgable on all the species we visited, and included fun facts about individuals of each animal too, as they all have very different characters and mannerisms. We left feeling truly enlightened after such a beautiful insight into the animal kingdom.

We checked out of our lodges and went to explore the Zoo, as you get two days access included in the Lodge package and also free car park, it was really nice driving around exploring and taking photos.

I’m sure you will, as we did, find the whole Lookout Lodge package and experience, great value for money and a truly spiritual encounter.

You can find out more information and book your Lookout Lodge experience here.

Thanks so much for reading, happy Monday!
