A few weeks ago I was very kindly invited to a Blogger Sleepover with Eylure and some of my blogger besties. It was such a fun experience and a great opportunity to catch up with all the girls I love. We were hosted in the gorgeous Artist Residence in London, which is a small luxury boutique hotel with very quirky decor, that I absolutely fell in love with!

Upon arrival, we were allocated to our rooms, mine was super stylish and very cozy and there were some lovely goodies laid out on the bed for us, including a a goodie bag full of pamper and sweet treats, a satin sleep mask and pink pjs – just everything you need for the perfect night in 🙂

We had a bit of time to relax and settle in before getting ready for cocktails and the launch reveal of the new Eylure beauty range, which I was super exited to see. We arrived at the Grand Suite which was so beautiful, it was literally ‘decor goals’! We all had a little beauty makeover and our lashes done with the gorgeous new range.

So let me tell you a little bit about the new lash collection, so there is the new ‘Most Wanted’ collection of silk effect lashes, which are super luxury and absolutely gorgeous! They are all handcrafted, bold and beautiful and come in super fabulous, metallic packaging to make sure they shine extra bright, perfect for those upcoming Christmas parties!

The second collection is the ‘Enchanted After Dark Edition’ and includes four new wispy lash styles, all of the lashes are beautiful, very lightweight but still bold and glam. What I love about Eylure lashes is that they are such great quality therefore reusable making them even better value for money.

We headed to dinner, which was held in the pink Pong room, the table setting was so lovely and it was so nice to sit down and catch up with everyone whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two 🙂

We stayed up late having a pyjama party at the main suite, we had such a laugh taking selfies and enjoying a few glasses of bubbly with my girls Taislany and Maddie 🙂

I had a great night sleep, my bed was super cozy and comfy and after a delicious breakfast and a much needed cup of coffee (to cure my hangover) we took some more photos in the room before checking out. It was really such a dream to have stayed at the Artist Residence so many thanks again to Eylure for the best time!

Thanks so much for reading my lovelies and happy Wednesday!

Choosing the right foundation can be very tricky, it’s important to find the best formula for your skin, whether it’s oily dry or acne prone, but it’s not always easy. There is a lot of makeup out there, from sheer to full coverage foundations, high-end to drugstore, matte to dewy-finish it can be very overwhelming I know!

So today I will be sharing with you my current favourite high end foundations and perhaps I can also do a drugstore version in another post. I like all of these foundation but all for different reasons and I’m gonna tell you all bout them now.

Starting with Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear foundation* I’m currently obsessed with it! It’s very long lasting so I tend to wear it when I want my makeup to last all day and look flawless. It gives a medium to full coverage without feeling heavy or looking cakey. It feels weightless on the skin, which I love, it also gives a semi-matte finish, which is great if you have oily skin.

I really like the formula of this foundation, it applies really well (with a foundation brush or beauty blender) it also stays true to its colour, it does not oxidise. I have worn this foundation in the rain and at the gym and it honestly didn’t budge. It also covers any blemishes or enlarged pores to give you that airbrushed skin, great for a night out or a special event. I also like it because it feels comfortable on, looks natural and lets my skin breathe. It retails for £35 here

Next up I have the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation Stick* which is quite different to everything I’ve ever used before but I actually really like it. It’s oil-free, highly pigmented and long wearing, the coverage is buildable with a natural-looking matte finish I really like using it for touch-ups, as a spot concealer you can even use it to contour.

What I like about it is that it is not messy since it’s a stick formula and it’s very lightweight on the skin, the powder-crème texture blends smoothly, it really does give a lovely finish. It’s great for oily skin and keeps me shine free, it also helps to reduce the appearance of redness. It retails for £25.50 here

I also wanted to quickly mention the concealer I have been using alongside this foundation, it’s the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage High Coverage concealer* this is such a good concealer I’m literally obsessed with it, it’s super-pigmented and full-coverage and what’s great about is is it does not crease so you can use it under the eyes to cover dark circles.

It conceal imperfections it’s lightweight and easily blendable and a little goes a long way! It retails for £22 here

Last but not least I have the Too Faced Born This Way foundation* – it gives the most natural, flawless coverage, you would’t even know you’re wearing foundation. It’s light and natural, it feels very comfortable on but still gives a beautiful medium coverage.

This foundation is also infused with some amazing ingredients including coconut water to naturally replenish moisture levels, alpine rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity and hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance. It retails for £29 here. I would highly recommend this one and honestly if I had to choose a favourite out of the tree I don’t think that I would be able to as I love them equally as much!

Have you tried any of these foundations? Have you got any other ones to recommend to me?

I love a good pamper evening, especially if it’s Halloween themed 🙂 I’ve felt a little under the weather lately, so I’ve been looking forward to a cozy night in with some hot chocolate and Netflix. I’m loving Stranger Things at the moment – the perfect Halloween series to get you in the mood and I’m gonna go through all the products I’m currently loving for the perfect pamper sesh.

Any bath-time experience is not complete without candles, and as this is an autumn routine, I’ve gone for the most appropriate candle in my stash – ‘Pumpkin Cupcake’ from Bath and Body Works. I get lots of questions on where to buy them in the UK, I get mine from Ebay, they have so many amazing scents.
And how pretty is my bath water, I’ve recently discovered BOD (Body on Demand) and I instantly fell in love with their products! They’ve recently launched ‘Be a Mermaid’ 20 min Bath Prep Bath Salts which don’t just look amazing but do amazing things to your body too! It’s a bloat bursting formula that eliminates up to 3lbs of water retention from your body, driving out sweat and toxins to reveal a smoother, more sculpted finish! They’re super easy to use, just pop the content into your hot bath water and enjoy. The pink shimmer gives a gorgeous iridescent glow to your skin and makes it super soft too, these salts are also 100% Vegan which is amazing.
Whilst in the bath I also like to have a good scrub to get rid of any dead skin (and old fake tan 🙂 and I’ve been loving the BOD Coconut and Pink Salt Scrub. It leaves your skin super soft and smooth with a lovely healthy glow. I really like this scrub because it doesn’t irritate my skin, as I do suffer from sensitive skin especially on my legs. The coconut also helps to nourish your skin and leave it feeling nicely moisturised.
For body lotion I’ve been using the BOD Mermaid Shimmer Sorbet, which is a lovely hydrating lotion that gives that beautiful glow. I’ve also been enjoying The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin Body Butter, it smells yummy and it’s really thick and creamy, perfect for giving you super soft skin. The scent is also very Autumn/Halloween which I love.
My final pamper treat is to wash and deep condition my hair and I have been loving OGX. Their products are Sulphate free and very natural and they have many different ranges to choose from, for all the hair types. I’m currently using the Fade Defying Orchid Oil range, which is for colour treated hair. It contains Orchid Extract and Grape Seed Oil to help slow premature fading and lock in your colour.
I would normally double wash my hair and then apply conditioner and leave on for about 20 mins, it really helps moisturise and replenish my dry ends and makes my hair super soft and silky.
What pamper products are you currently loving?
Thanks so much for reading and Happy Halloween!

I visited my local Zoo a couple of days ago for their Halloween half-term ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event (21-31 October) and I had so much fun – it was a day full of Halloween inspired activities and absolutely brilliant for any Halloween obsessed animal lover!

There were so many Halloween themed things going on, with the opportunity to discover fascinating artefacts of the natural world at the ‘Museum of Fantastic Creatures’. Enjoy some ‘Creepy Crafts’ and carve your own pumpkin or play a game of ‘Ghastly Mini Golf’… there was literally so much to do, it was the perfect family day out.

For the little ones especially, to climb aboard the ‘Eerie Express’ and enjoy a spooktacular ride around the Zoo, ‘The Magic & Mayhem Museum’ for some magical fun, music and games as well as spooky versions of the Zoo’s usual talks, feeds and demonstrations involving many of its animals across all its enclosures.

I really enjoyed the ‘Ghost of Madagascar’ Lemur demonstrations and also the ‘Owloween’ – coming face to face with their spectacular Owls in a super fun free-flying demonstration.

It was a brilliant day and I would highly recommend it if you’re looking to do something fun this Halloween half term week. You can read all about it and book your tickets here for ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and here for ZSL London Zoo.
