Who doesn’t love to be pampered? Whether you have a friend, sister or mum who deserves a much-needed dose of ‘me’ time, make sure to spoil her with a pampering treat this Christmas. Give her the gift of a spa-like experience in her own home, encouraging her to take time out from her busy schedule to unwind and de-stress.

The Holidays are a time to relax, spend quality time with friends and family, eat, drink and be merry, but there’s always so much to do and organise leading up to Christmas that in the end we all need a little pamper and time to relax. So today I will be sharing with you a selection of fabulous pamper gifts from some of my favourite beauty brands.

Everyone loves a Christmas stocking, there’s something quite sentimental about the idea of waking on Christmas morning eager to unveil an oversized sock bursting with decadent mini treats. It’s the little things that count, after all 🙂

So if you’re looking for some gift ideas to please the lady in your life (your mum or sister) you have come to the right place. I have plenty of options (from luxury to more affordable) that promise to delight on Christmas morning.

Perhaps the easiest of recipients to please are the beauty junkies (like myself) a glittering nail polish or that perfect red lippie would be a great go-to gift. You can’t go wrong with a perfume either, especially if you choose something classic.

If they prefer to pamper then opting for some indulgent skin care will do the trick. From hand creams to face masks and deep-sleep pillow sprays, the beauty world is offering up a host of premium treats to fill their festive stockings. In fact a lot of these gifts would also be perfect for Secret Santa. It’s such a fun thing to do with your colleagues at work, but also with friends and even family.

So here is my selection of gifts, I have also added links where to purchase them from, I had so much fun putting this together, so I hope you guys find it inspiring 🙂

I absolutely love Winter and I have been looking for some fun seasonal things to do, so I have some great Christmas (festive) activities planned throughout this month, starting with…. snowboarding!

I learned to snowboard about three years ago while on holiday in Andorra, which was so much fun, but also very (very) hard. After that holiday I decided to take some private lessons but to be honest I never really  had  a chance to do it until now, which is why I was so incredibly excited to be invited to visit Chel-Ski – an indoor ski centre in the heart of Chelsea.

I had been booked on a 1 hour beginners snowboarding lesson, because with it being so many years since I’d last boarded I definitely needed a refresher course! I was greeted at the reception by a friendly member of staff who asked for my name and found my booking on the computer. With it being my first visit to Chel-Ski she showed me where to find my instructor, the check in desk for my board and equipment and the changing area and toilets. I had arrived half an hour prior to my booking, as was advised, so that I could get my equipment ready, stow my bag in a locker and sit in the foyer area ready to be called through by my instructor, and of course take some photos. My partner Mark very kindly accompanied me as my photographer  and snowboarding buddy 🙂

As I had no equipment of my own I used the venues supply of boots and snowboard and since it’s a dry slope you don’t really need to wear waterproof clothing, hat or gloves etc, which is a bonus.

I got to wear my gorgeous new red thermals from S’No Queen, which I absolutely love. Not only do they look amazing on but they’re also super comfy and warm. They’re very stretchy and comfortable and perfect for skiing or snowboarding. I literally want them in every single colour. Such gorgeous design with little diamontes for a touch of glam. They’re definitely thermals you want to be seen in!

Our instructor greeted us moments later and explained what our lesson would be focusing on, but he also wanted to see what level we’re at before deciding our next steps. He talked us through the health and safety of boarding, covered everything from how best to stand, securing and releasing the bindings, how to turn over, steer, stop and start on the slope amongst other things. He answered all of my questions and gave me great tips on how best to find balance by turning my knees outwards and looking up straight ahead of me. Chel-Ski has a unique revolving astro turf slopes, watered frequently to make them a suitable surface for skiing and snowboarding and I actually much prefer this terrain then real snow as it’s easier to learn on.

After some practise I was able to board down the slope without stopping or holding onto the bar, so we then moved onto the diagonal sideslip, which consisted of gliding from left to right whilst descending. I was shown how to put my weight onto one leg whilst looking in the direction I wanted to go, and pointing a hand to steer; the harder you lean and the further round you look, the more your board will turn depending of the extent of the angle you desire. Toward the end of the lesson my balance became better and I felt the tension and stiffness release from my legs as I really got into it and had the biggest smile on my face as I mastered each step 🙂

We had a fantastic first lesson and our instructor said we both progressed really well. Even though I’d boarded years ago, I wouldn’t say that I was skilled, so having a lesson certainly helped to get me back into the swing of things and gave me back my confidence. After the lesson was over we were issued an achievement record card, which our instructor filled out and signed.

After our lesson we sat at the Alpine Bar (located upstairs) to have a well deserved little rest and a nice cup of coffee. I loved the decor in there, it reminded me of a little Ski Chalet 🙂 which really makes me want to rent a winter cabin somewhere nice (like Scotland for example) and sit beside a fireplace with a nice glass of hot apple cider…this just screams winter comfort and the perfect winter vacation!

I had a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back for my next lesson, if you’ve ever had a skiing or snowboarding lesson please feel free to comment below on how you found it, what you enjoyed most and what level you’re at, and if you haven’t been I would highly recommend visiting Chel-Ski!

Thanks so much for reading and happy Friday!

Happy Friday beauties, and happy 1st of December! Where has the year gone?!

I was recently invited to visit Live True London, which is a lovely hair and beauty salon in Vauxhall, so today I want to tell you all about my experience getting my hair done.

I’ve never been to Live True before but I’ve heard some great things about the salon from fellow bloggers and friends, so I was really looking forward to my appointment. The salon was really easy to get to from central London and only a 5 minute walk from the tube station.

Upon arrival I was kindly greeted by my lovely stylist Paco, who was super sweet. I told him all about my hair and the look I was going for, we discussed ideas while having a nice cup of coffee 🙂

I absolutely love the beautiful decor of the salon! Big ornate mirrors, gorgeous chandeliers … it’s very much my style.

I wanted to freshen up my balayage and also get some subtle highlights done in the top section of my hair, to get those nice ashy blonde tones back. Paco explained that he would have to use bleach and foils to achieve the desired look, which was absolutely fine with me.

He used Redken Professional and Olaplex, a treatment that protects and strengthens the hair during bleaching and colouring. I have had Olaplex done in the past and it honestly does wonders to my hair, it makes it really soft and healthy looking, as opposed to dry and brittle.

I was very kindly offered some light refreshments while waiting for the highlighting process,  I also had my manicure done, I opted for a bronzey/gold shimmer, perfect for the festive season. The nail technician Edyta was so lovely and very professional, she did an amazing job and I would highly recommend her, here is a link to her work.

After a little while my stylist took me to have my hair washed, he applied two different ash toners to neutralise all the brassiness, he then cut my hair to get rid of the dead ends and added a few layers to frame my face. He followed with a blow dry, which left my hair feeling so light and bouncy.

I left the salon very happy and pleased with the results. I absolutely adore the colour and style, thank you so much! I would highly recommend Live True London if you are looking to experience a five-star hair treatment, my stylist Paco is absolutely brilliant, you can check out his work here.

I also wanted to mention some of the products I have been using at home to maintain my colour, which were recommended to me by my stylist. They’re all by Redken – a brand I truly love. So I have been using the ‘All Soft’ range (shampoo + conditioner) which is perfect for nourishing dry, highlighted hair. It also contains a Protein Complex and Omega 6 enriched Argan oil to give your hair that lovely softness and shine.

Then I’d follow up with the Blonde Idol hair mask, which I like to leave on for a about 15 minutes to deep condition my hair, it’s pretty amazing! If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen my story last week all about the products I use and the order I use them in.

I have also been using Olaplex No.3 home treatment once a week which really helps strengthen and condition weak/highlighted hair, and it really does work!

It’s very easy to use just dampen your hair and towel-dry, then apply 1-3 teaspoons of Olaplex No.3 evenly through your hair and leave on for 10 to 30 minutes before rising out.

As my last step I would apply Redken Extreme Anti-Snap leave in treatment, which helps with breakage and to strengthen weak hair, it also contains Protein which I have noticed really helps after any chemical treatments.

So many of you have asked me hair related questions ever since I’ve had my hair highlighted, so hopefully I have managed to answer all of them, but if not please feel free to leave them below 🙂

Thanks so much for reading and have a lovely day,

A few weeks ago I was very kindly invited to a Blogger Sleepover with Eylure and some of my blogger besties. It was such a fun experience and a great opportunity to catch up with all the girls I love. We were hosted in the gorgeous Artist Residence in London, which is a small luxury boutique hotel with very quirky decor, that I absolutely fell in love with!

Upon arrival, we were allocated to our rooms, mine was super stylish and very cozy and there were some lovely goodies laid out on the bed for us, including a a goodie bag full of pamper and sweet treats, a satin sleep mask and pink pjs – just everything you need for the perfect night in 🙂

We had a bit of time to relax and settle in before getting ready for cocktails and the launch reveal of the new Eylure beauty range, which I was super exited to see. We arrived at the Grand Suite which was so beautiful, it was literally ‘decor goals’! We all had a little beauty makeover and our lashes done with the gorgeous new range.

So let me tell you a little bit about the new lash collection, so there is the new ‘Most Wanted’ collection of silk effect lashes, which are super luxury and absolutely gorgeous! They are all handcrafted, bold and beautiful and come in super fabulous, metallic packaging to make sure they shine extra bright, perfect for those upcoming Christmas parties!

The second collection is the ‘Enchanted After Dark Edition’ and includes four new wispy lash styles, all of the lashes are beautiful, very lightweight but still bold and glam. What I love about Eylure lashes is that they are such great quality therefore reusable making them even better value for money.

We headed to dinner, which was held in the pink Pong room, the table setting was so lovely and it was so nice to sit down and catch up with everyone whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two 🙂

We stayed up late having a pyjama party at the main suite, we had such a laugh taking selfies and enjoying a few glasses of bubbly with my girls Taislany and Maddie 🙂

I had a great night sleep, my bed was super cozy and comfy and after a delicious breakfast and a much needed cup of coffee (to cure my hangover) we took some more photos in the room before checking out. It was really such a dream to have stayed at the Artist Residence so many thanks again to Eylure for the best time!

Thanks so much for reading my lovelies and happy Wednesday!
